When the game first came out, you couldn't mouse scroll up past the NW section where you start the game at. When I started playing again off and on in January, I noticed it scrolls up and out much further now and I assume they will open it up at some point. Or they planned to at some point.
Yes. We brought that up to them a few times and never got any answer on why they expanded how far you can scroll but can't actually access. It's been that way for over half a year, so we expected map expansion a long time ago. But alas, nothing.

I recently joined the forum but have played on and off since release. I too was tricked into buying the season pass on day 1.... I actually thought there was going to be alot more content then what we have recieved. All I can honestly say is how disappointed I am in the "DLC" that has come out for this game in general.
Lets compare this game to another game that use the same model, gw2, im gonna use the numbers from april 2013 to now, earlier wouldn't be fair.

24 free patch, with content ranging from the biggest defiance DLC to patch 10 times bigger, how is that acceptable? I only paid for the box and got even more content than something i bought a DLC pack? Best logic ever..
And to people saying we didnt get all the info.. well there wont be anything else, its been like that since a while now.
No offense, but the fact you buy the DLC and stay means you do forgive them. Saying you don't is not going to fool Trions bankaccount one cent.
And let's face it, for all it's flaws, that people stick around means it's not all dark and gloom. The latest changes are in my opinion working towards a better and more enjoyable game. The Devs could create more content, but without fixing the basics, how long would that keep you interested?
And with basics we have disconnects, the scoring system (i do think that got improved) and a host of other things. Most likely they'll pull a Diablo 3 on us, and release a patch 2.0 which overhauls most of the game mechanics. Much like they already said they would with different nano efficiencies etc... For all it's worth, if the diablo team could do it, Trion can do it.
If you're going to make comparisons on that scale, the very least you should do is compare apples to apples. In this case, you should be comparing Defiance to another shooter, not an RPG. Otherwise the comparison means very little, if anything.

I sort of agree with what you are saying but this FIXING THE BASICS should not be coming in the form of dlc packages. They should be completely free patches. Dlc should be comprising mostly of new content and new things to fight/play. Making core changes and calling it dlc # whatever does not suffice. This is mostly why i am angry, as well as SP owners or people that buy the dlc are getting eff all for their money.
I'd be happy if they are adding brand new enemies, map area, never before seen weapons, adding something like every faction having a major arkfall or wandering bosses, putting things in the middle of nowhere for us to go out and find, auction houses, player hubs with activities, brand new instances etc etc. This is the type of stuff that I (and maybe many other players) was expecting when purchasing the SP.
Dlc 2 is the only one I like. Arenas yeah were new but I didn't like them but it was new. As for these last 3 dlc's its all reskinned rehashed stuff. And then to add more arenas in Gunslinger?!! 7th legion pffffft!!!!! And now dlc 5 is just something that should be free patching. Changing the core mechanics of how to play a game is not dlc. I really would like to think they would turn round and say that is just a hotfix, here are details of the real dlc 5. But hey if Trion think it's acceptable to roll out these patches and call it dlc then I really cant see Defiance lasting more than another year.
I really do hope they pull their fingers out and turn it all around for SP 2. I have decided to stay another year and will get SP 2 despite this year being a very disappointing first year. I want to see this game succeed and expand as the years go by. But SP 2 is it's final chance with me. If they can't pull the rabbit out of the hat in the second year then it's time to part ways and hopefully a different company will bring out something similar to Defiance and execute it properly with real actual dlc and that they listen to it's players. After all, we are the ultimate game testers, and without us, there is no them.
