Weapons can effect the out come for sure. Some weapons fit better depending on the situation. I really wish Trion had added a hot key for swapping load outs. That is something that seriously should be added. Swapping equipped items on the fly is really tedious in this game compared to most MMOs.

I was more or less referring to your starting weapon. I had a much easier time with an LMG or an AR, than I did with a shotgun. Simply because the shotguns in this game suck. Period.

Also, just because it's an mmo (even though none of the devs actually call it that) doesn't mean you *have* to play missions with other people. Sometimes my friends aren't available, and I don't really like playing with randoms, so I do a few missions by myself. There's playing tactical, and there's being forced to play like a coward with limited ammo. I love ducking behind cover, checking to see when enemies reload, those kinds of things. But if I can't even take out a few enemies without my shield almost completely depleting, then we have a problem. The shield's suck too. The Cleaver's have the worst hit detection I've ever seen, Elites take waaay too much damage. But the game is still fun, and sometimes the difficulty is spot on. However, sometimes the game just scales because there are players in the nearby area, they don't even have to be helping you. This is why it feels so much different from the beta, because usually it was just my friends and I. I'm loving the game, there just seems to be some odd difficulty spikes, and mobs being spawned too quickly. Did anyone else have trouble with We're On the Air? Seems to be the worst offender so far.

I actually find it easier solo - for the reason I'm strictly overcharge/all damage dealing skills and, if others are not and instead use a mix of blur/decoy/more defensive oriented skills it just takes longer to bring stuff down with their HP increase.

Outside of PvP, there's no real reason not to take overcharge efficiency wise. The difficulty/death mechanic is so laughably light that there is no need to play defensively. Aside from overcharge, cloak is arguably as good if not more efficient if you're good with a sniper/pistol.

Granted, it is nice to have some variety if people use blur/decoy or want to try and heal/tank....it's just not very practical in the game as is.

    We are talking about soloing

Plus I can't figure out how to get a group together in this F-in game since the Chat doesn't work worth schtacko! There doesn't seem to be anyway to contact people easily let alone there isn't a Looking for group interface I have found at all?

As to your assertion about not "Supposed to be soloing" because its a MMORPG The MM in the MMORPG only means there are lots of people online not that its a mandatory requirement to group...

Unfortunately for me as a sniper about 90% of the missions are NOT sniper friendly and I am forced literally forced to spam a shotgun or a machine gun like a mouth foaming neck beard plebeian at close range. It's like I am really playing call of duty in the future! Spam grenades and spam bullets everywhere. Enemies spawn magically five feet away from you in wave after wave after wave. Cool story bro.

Well, considering the type of missions that are given, you shouldn't want to be a sniper. You're trying to play support, when you should be playing assault. Bring a few friends along and then go all out with your sniper rifle, that's what I do.

this isn't 1999. this game isn't an mmorpg. it's a drop in, drop out whenever you want type game.

and i solo'd my druid and magician to 50 in the original everquest so what you think people are supposed to be doing is irrelevant.

i'm guessing you and your friend havent hit the 99'ers yet

I personally like the increase in the difficulty since the beta. Makes it more fun.

I personally like the speed of the combat. I just wish I could carry more bullets so I did not have to let off the trigger.

I also wish we could fire from the ATV.

The game seems Too easy at times. Though yes, rushing in and hoping your shield will hold out as you try to shotgun npc's in the face will get you killed pretty quickly. I do hope it gets tougher later on...
