Drop Rates of Legendaries

Keep players grinding = keep players playing. It has worked so far, why change it now? Sure people complain, but they still log in, still play, still buy $100 Legendary Kits, still buy boosts and outfits, etc. So why would Trion, from a business point of view, change anything? They are still making plenty of money off this game, no reason to make it so people get better guns, or more frequent legendary drops. They will buy the Legendary kit, or spend bits to buy Tier 4 boxes or Epic mod hoards. Why give away what people will pay for?

Simple - Customer satisfaction, as a person that has paid a fair share to equip my character. I officially determined its pointless and I will stop spending my money to do so because the results are so messed up, I could plop down 5k on bits and still end up with pointless junk.

I may not be the average gamer I have way more money than time, and gladly pay to catch up to those that have way more time than money. But at some level it has to be worth it in the end and currently its not.

I don't care what the drop rates are, I care that what drops 99% of the time is utter trash.

The only sustainable model going forward is Synergy and Nano customization. I would gladly drop bits to be able to outfit my gear how I want and it would introduce a crafting element that is missing from the game currently. It would also allow them to come up with more creative synergies and perk combos.

Id grind for a month or pay some bits to be able to reset my ,rolls, synergy or add nano to a gun.

after playing some 250ish hours, my slots are filled with worthless epics and mostly worthless OJs and its boring as hell. When i finally nail that OJ wolfhound, I don't want the worst rolls possible and to have to scrap the whole thing.

this game lacks controllable options to weapons and gear. the way you keep the grind and people playing is to introduce new rolls and synergies, figuring out new flavors of the month or what works best in certain situations. they also need to add stats to clothing that enhance or debuff.

I am already bored of the game and I have yet to experience most of the content, because other than cut scenes I know in the end im not getting anything worth a damn.

You may stop spending money and I my stop spending money, but there are many more people that continue to spend. Until they see a noticeable decrease in player spending they will not be motivated to change anything. That is my point. If people would stop spending money, they would be pressed to change things up. Until then, we will get more of the same, for better or worse 'til Destiny due us part.

Edit: or Elder Scrolls Online whichever you prefer.

I've not gathered enough data to comment on the Legendary drop rate...but what I can say is that I've gotten a truck load of VBI Derailers ever since the 7th Legion DLC drop.

Someone posted a picture showing they got 3 legendries in a single box, and I personally bought 10 boxes today and got 6 legendary items. I don't feel like there is anything wrong with the drop rates.

i have two sides i guess... i bought and played the game when it first came out...and played it...ALOT... all the way to ego 2200, i pulled 1 frigin legendary, at ego1888... the the servers got horribly bad, just before the 1st dlc, to the point where i got so mad that i quite playing... Didnt really play again until about 3.5 weeks ago. And i bought all dlcs, and with that since I have received d about 15 legendaries, mostly mediocre but some good gems. So with that In mind Id say the drop rates, for me in general are better. But I never played when people were getting them left and right so my view may be biased. I pulled a t4 and got 2 ojs on one pull and dark matter has given me 4 ojs. The rep grinding seems more tedious and not for the better than it used to be. With all that said Im definitely all for the ojs to have more value. But for now just getting them is good enough for me bc for so long I never got them.

Its just the luck of the draw. I didn't get any oranges for the first 2 months of playing. Now I get at least one almost everytime I play. RNG is just that, random.....

Been playing since August and have not yet received an orange. I grind sieges, incursions, and warmasters sometimes (when not requiring multiple reboots) score in the top 10. But I do get lots of blue and a few purple weapons. So I am pretty disappointed in the random number god.
