I'd actually pay to even see that error. I come back after a few months break only to be hit with a critical installation failure, so I can't log on at all.

Have you tried contacting us via Live Chat? We'd like to help. Select Defiance as the game and you should have access.

I havnt yet but I'll have to give it a shot. I've put in a support ticket about it as well. I'll let ya know what happens.

Alrighty. I talked to live chat and Ortox suggested manually installing the game from the 360 dashboard. This helped. When I entered game I was able to finish installing. I'm currently re-downloading all relavent patches.

This might help others as well. Delete your installed game and reinstall it via the dashboard. You should be able to finish the forced install afterward.

A better question would be what about the game works properly? I loved the game when it first came out, but it's just gone south since. No fault to this dev teak of course. This is like, the 3rd dev team iirc.

Idk about the double install, but I don't really care as long as it works, though some would argue that Defiance hasn't been in working order since launch. =/
