    Incentive to explore?

As the title says, is there incentive to explore the open world? Not just go from blip to blip on the map, but just randoming roam around. Are there mod cache to be found..if I clear some random camp that has no significance to any event or mission, is there a 'just reward' ? Curious if theres reason to venture off the path a little to see what the world looks like other than the lines layed out.

Not to compare, but in GW2 theres jumping puzzles, chests, and the scenery is just gorgeous.

meh not really, there are somewhat random event things like hell bug nest clear it out, and you get some rewards, or soldiers will be held hostage on the road and you can free them, but these aren't out in the middle of no where.

Ah. I remember during the last beta, the only time i played, Id be driving along, see a camp of a few mobs...wondered if it was worth it to stop and clear the camp. guess not.

Doing those random events that you run across, rescue them, protect them.... they build your reputation for the faction of the zone you are in. When you get your rep up high enough a shop opens up, the higher your rep the more stuff available.

The open world feels empty.....no doubt

What they should add in is a campfire feature. At night, set up a campfire, everyone sits around..chats and if you sit long enough you get random buffs or something like that. Judging from the forums, theres no interaction between players. This could help.

I explore and do all the random events/mini-quests. What's wrong with that?

Just curious, when you explore, what do you wanna find?

if you explore the world you'll find audio logs and intel. For example if you go to Cooper's basement at Iron Demon Ranch, if you check the very back on the bunker where the shelf is you'll find an audio log. They're hard to find, but that's one incentive to explore the world.
Check your pursuits as well, they should tell you how many audio logs are in each area.

The spoiled gaming community always wanting rewards to go off and do something on their own thinking its a job that they need to recieve payment for doing. So few who actually just does things to have fun.

On another note theres some decent xp incomes from the events that happen in alot of places. Usually always seems to be something going on may it be the same kind of event u experienced a few times before already. With a top lvl of 5000 EGO I consider that a decent reward.

Nonetheless its a shooter. SHOOT SOMETHING! :-)

    Yes it is worth it!

Killing off the enemies in those random camps will often net you a nice 2000 odd EXP, some scrip and some Tokens - as long as there is an objective to complete.

For example, if on the top of the screen, it says "Clear out all the Raiders!" - when you kill all of the Raiders in the area you will get the bonus.

Also, exploration leads to unlocking more Persuits, which is the best way to boost your EGO Level.
