Yes but they have repeatedly said via forums and other means that you can and can not do specific things. Not like what you suggest in your post that most game companies do not comment on things like this.

Are you kidding me? What game developer has banned users for legitimate custom display driver settings including sweetfx/fxaa? I play a lot of games, a lot of multiplayer games and not a single one has. The other examples of legitimate things I've listed are the same way. They aren't officially endorsed by developers but players use them without issue. I have a g series keyboard for example and I use custom key profiles all the time while playing said games.
Well, Planetside 2 players were banned for using SweetFX, or so I've read on these here forums.
Well i made an interesting post the other day on this. If youve been a pc gamer for over 10 years you'll remember when the only way you could get fxaa was with an injector. Companies banned many people then for it later it became the standard in the game industry now the same thing is happening for smaa. yet in 4-5 years it too will be an industry standard as its much better than fxaa. In short banning for it in itself is redundant as all game developers will be expected to use it in most games soon.
Lasse they are but I've been running it since day one and haven't been banned. Because for the most part they don't seem to care that much as their own devs use it.
They also do mass bans every 2 months or so so you'd have to check their forums every so often for ban waves to see who got hit for what.
Being SOE you might get banned for gaming without a license.

I've heard the same rumor too. I don't believe it. I have planetside 2 installed so maybe I'll go test it myself. I've read more than enough cheaters lying about what they did or didn't do on the internet before. My experience has been nobody bans for custom display settings. If they were the amount of players being banned would be enough that it would be more than what it is.
I feel the same way as i know whole clans running it and myself and haven't seen bans for it in any groups i hang in.

Bottom line is if i didnt get suspended for using radeonpro then i dont know why. I dont cheat lol i just want the game to look good. Next up i want an email with a specific reason (program used) why, i dont think thats asking alot. Ive never been banned in any game ive ever played and its pretty fn rediculous imo reguardless of what the trolls on here think.
