I'm at 4565 and it ain't no joy ride either. It seems that the new scaling system is meant to give everyone a big pain in the butt, and I'm not going to go into the amount of enemies that start spawning. This patch has taken the fun factor out of the game.
The Arkbreaks are indeed pure comedy gold. You can just laugh (and type snarky comments in chat) when you get one-shotted before you can even move by a couple dozen rez-point-camping enemies. Over and over and over again...

I've played a lot on the test server and now a few hours on live and I can see it has potential. The trouble I'll talk about in this post is how uneven the scaling is. It has no smooth edges. Playing the story line one site will be stupid easy and the next will be bullet sponge city. I answered a call for help from a newb trying to do kinship on his first playthrough and found it at threat level 10. He and his friends had no chance. I was buffed to 4750 and it was taking me 5 to 7 minutes per mutant. I can do that without having to extract by doing the normal stuff (using cover, running for my life, etc) but it is not fun, it is tedious and frustrating.
How does a player with an ego less than 100 end up on a main mission set at threat level 10?
To me, this seems broken.

I really like the changes. Grease up the gears and do a little patch work and this will be one of my favorite games.
Can we PLEASE have unique icons for Spikes and Stims??? Every other item has them and my memory isn't good enough without them...
