Sure, the new combat system can be harsh at times. But at the same time it promotes teamwork even more than the scoring system does. Someone next to you shooting a tough enemy? Assist.

In regards to the major arkbreak, tactics. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that when the Ark Viscera spawned, everyone tried to kill it instead of killing bombers and troopers first. So, you get camped a little bit. Big deal. Once you're done being camped, try playing like you have the ability to learn from your mistakes. Take the high ground and show some killer instinct.

@ the OP if noone has mentioned this yet , there is still a vehicle vendor in south central sausolito at headlands transit depot. Although at your ego it may be tough to get there or go in zone chat and ask someone to help get you there by fast travel , good luck.

Agreed in part - while this new patch requires more skill and planning, it's a shock to the system. It's sweeping change which is often a bad idea. Additionally, unless one reads the wall of text patch notes and visits the forums regularly, you won't know the new strategy and which weapons to use. I'm hoping they'll tweak it so it's once again enjoyable for everyone. What I'm seeing on forums today are largely two opinions - LOVE IT or HATE IT. Very little middle ground. As a quasi-casual gamer (meaning I play ALL the time but lack the skill to be "hardcore") this dlc is a double-edged sword. Like most of Defiance I think I love and hate it at the same time.

That last part should be taken literally to a certain extent. I noticed on the test server that the Volge Trooper shock wave attacks don't seem to have any effect on you if you're on one of the pedestals. I think you have to be grounded to be hit by them. They will toss grenades at you in retaliation though so you can't hang around on the pedestals for more than a moment to avoid their shock wave attacks. Even jumping seems to work but it has to be timed correctly. I decided to play medic because it does help players to get off more shots if they don't have extract to an area that is being camped and the Volge are trying to down me instead of them when I have an extra 45%-75% damage resistance. It's too bad One for All and Phoenix Boost are only group perks and not team perks. We could have finished them off much faster if they worked that way.

Funny the people act so high and mighty but the only real reason you didn't do it because you weren't aware. Lookout A dude did an exploit that 99% of the defiance world did on a video game. Hey If it was so bad why did Trion replace all my scrip?

Maybe people should try making sure their hands are clean before they judge?

I wonder how many exploits you have done because we all have? Even if it was not our intentions, an exploit is an exploit.

    Hi, My name is Hitman,
And I'll admit that I have used a few exploits in Defiance (however I never used the Extra Life Vendor one)

I was going to post a complaint about the game play now but why bother, the people enjoying it the most are the ones hacking it anyway. Until it's fixed, I'll spend my money elsewhere

    You can't "hack" Defiance.

The developers in charge of this patch need to be fired. Completely ruined the game for anyone new, and for anyone who might have wanted to try this whole transmedia thing they created the game around.

Forced Insane to Impossible difficulty level is not going to get you customers. If they dont come out with a community post about how they are going to fix this today I am never buying a Trion product again. ArcheAge looks nice, but not if this is type of shenanigans I can look forward to.
