    Thanks Trion :) love dlc5

Thanks to everyone at Trion. DLC 5 gets it right. No more do we have 100 people crushing 3 baddies. The game now requires skill and planning. If you don't like the changes, I recommend Candyland or Chutes and Ladders. Games should be challenging with a real threat of losing, otherwise why play? DLC 5 makes Defiance the game it always should have been, in my opinion. Great, great job Trion!

Yes, because you're some kind of "child" if you would prefer that a single contract mission didn't take 45 minutes to an hour to finish. I like how ad-hominem and false equivalencies are the best the apologists can come up with.

I like the game a lot more now too. However, a lot of people do like casual games, which this started out as. As such, there is a giant shock going through a lot of the vocal community.

What's the point of Farmville? I dunno, but people play it.

    @Bonehead
I like sponges. The kind you clean with and that little dude that lives in the sea.
Can we PLEASE have unique icons for Spikes and Stims??? Every other item has them and my memory isn't good enough without them...

I think some of the scaling instances need to be looked at. That being said:

I really do like the level of intensity in the Expert Co-op's that I have participated in. Glad that there is now a hard mode. The rest of the world, not so much. It shouldn't take a group of 5 ppl 20 minutes to complete Parrabas, when I can do it solo, for more reward, in 1/2 the time.

Double edged sword that The Company fell onto, IMO.

no one likes a see u next tuesday....

Shouldnt hate on people because they didnt want the game they loved to change for a money scheme... What are you, 12??? I havent played new dlc yet, but Im sure theres pros and cons, althouigh it seems alot more of cons right now. I love a challenging game just as much as the next competitive multiplayer does, but I also loved how defiance let you play alongside everyone no matter what level, and was a "social" type experience. I didnt play defiance for the "challenge" because for one, the mechanics arent really good enough imo. So I, for one, am kinda partial and didnt want the change. Not because I like chutes and latters and powder-puff games, but because I played defiance because it fulfilled in other ways.

    Spot on!

The truth is in the middle here. Trion really needed to up the pace in Defiance, it was too easy. BUT, overdoing it greatly is another story lol. Bulletsponges summarizes it nicely.

    - A daily contract should be done within 10 minutes. Regardless of the amount of players present and their EGO's. The reward will otherwise not be worth the trouble.
    - A new player or low EGO should never be confronted with feeling like their shooting a waterpistol and dont even scratch the badguys in open world, no matter who else is present at the scene.
    - Intentional and unintentional griefing by higher EGO's (scaling up the enemies on purpose or by accident) should never been made possible.

    On a positive note:
    - I played the expert coop (i'm EGO 4400'ish). I suffered, i died a lot and loved it every ince of the way!

The rewards however are bad! Trion, please! A week of grinding and being succesfull for 1 mod? 2,5 weeks for a weapon? 12,5 weeks to be able to pass that one longlasting pursuit? So much Arkfolge required to upgrade a legendary weapon that we already own? And so little Arkfolge to be found per day? But am offering a very expensive shortcut in the store?

Trion, it smells like pure greed. And that's a bad thing. Sure, i understand you're a commercial company. And yes, you need to make money that got lost somewhere else in the whole Defiance-expedition. But could you please TRY to keep it within reason? No one at the company ever feel like their doing a bad thing? Must be! First you charge 80 bucks for a random given Legendary weapon, and now this... 20 bucks for 1000 EGO levels. C'mon...

Chutes and Ladders has actually been around for 4200 years.
