I'm with rebtattoo: there are some things in this DLC that came out really well (like Expert co-ops), some things with the potential to be big improvements but which need a good bit of tweaking (too many to list...just glance at the first page here in General Discussion), and some things that are just completely fubar (Major Arkbreaks).

Of course, this DLC wasn't remotely ready for live release...but such is reality in the gaming business today.

DLC 5 makes Defiance the game it always should have been, in my opinion. Great, great job Trion!
LOL, I guess you don't do the Warmaster very often or doing dailies solo. A lot of changes were done so people have to spend money (real money) to get what they want. 15 keys max......only putting your equipment at 75% of your level..... nerfing legendary drops......being able to level up so fast now. Yea, great DLC.

Believe we mentioned it in the difficulty balance thread, we'll be bumping the drop quality of higher-threat mobs to bring it in line with where it should be.

One of the smartest replies to this whole fiasco yet. I don't know why it comes as a complete shock to gamers that not everyone wants or enjoys the same level of challenge in a game, and it is perfectly acceptable for games of all types and genres to appeal to those casual players. That is what made Defiance great, and that is what has been lost.

Shouldnt hate on people because they didnt want the game they loved to change for a money scheme... What are you, 12??? I havent played new dlc yet, but Im sure theres pros and cons, althouigh it seems alot more of cons right now. I love a challenging game just as much as the next competitive multiplayer does, but I also loved how defiance let you play alongside everyone no matter what level, and was a "social" type experience. I didnt play defiance for the "challenge" because for one, the mechanics arent really good enough imo. So I, for one, am kinda partial and didnt want the change. Not because I like chutes and latters and powder-puff games, but because I played defiance because it fulfilled in other ways.
Indeed gaming professional, indeed. The open world should not have been touched, aside to tweak the original scaling system to make the mobs a bit more bullet spongy during big zergfests. Adding the higher tier difficulty co-ops, and other instanced group content, should be the only change in difficulty necessary for this game. The "l33t" players will then have their content, separate and unaffecting the rest of the game, and those who played and enjoyed Defiance for what it was can have their game back.

Was hoping to see a thread of this nature! But it's already being overwhelmed by the 5-10 complainers that feel like they own this forum. I also really like this DLC. It does need a little work but overall it has improved the game.
