    of course not RPG

This was hashed out several times in alpha/beta... Defiance is an MMO-TPS (Third Person Shooter) with Co-op. Definitely not an RPG. Communication is minimal needed to support Co-op as devs seem to have thought that voice chat would be the primary communications method to support Co-op.

Nice, new content in the form of weekly added main story missions after the debut of Defiance on SyFy April 15th. This game being created in the MMO genre left me ambivalent at first, but after jumping in the deep end head first I purchased the UE and above all I'm satisfied thus far and await anxiously for the upcoming releases.

The game is not currently long im speculating because they likely do not want to reveal too much story before the show comes out. Its not just a game so you have to think of it that way and the way trion is they can bust out content as quick as some hobo hits his crack pipe. ;p

The game is awesome if you take the time to play it like normal people do or even rush it a little, but if you expect to pull a WoW and hit max lvl and rush raids then i'd like to remind you this is a brand new game, most dont even come with true endgame its developed as the game progresses. Currently I believe the endgame is maxing out ego doing acheves, pvp and the story mode co-op dungeons which isnt bad for now. Give trion time and this game will be great, really it already is considering how smooth the launch was imo.

This isn't exactly an MMORPG it's a MMOTPSRPG. Just wanna mention that MMORPGs boast a lot of content and such but it is always overestimated. The main story missions can be completed in about 12hrs or so which is comparable and better than many single player $60 games then there is tons of other things to do such as side missions, challenges, arkfalls, etc. The will naturally expand over time as well. I'm happy with my purchase and the amount of content especially since everything feels varied because the combat is so fun.
Don't be insulted because i don't wanna explain myself, i was probably joking anyway.

And those are just the paid ones. They've said that there will be free dlc as well.

Racing to the end may seem fun but your usually the only one their and have to wait for others too catch up and that is no fun. When SWTOR released for the 3 day head start I rushed to 50 in 3 days with little to no sleep and a lot of Red Bull energy drinks and while I was happy when I hit 50 the stress of it all on my body caused me to have a heart attack and spent 4 weeks in the hospital, yay I was one of the lucky few to hit 50 in 3 days but I spent a lot of time playing catch up afterwards.

So now I take in games moderately and slowly I'm only EGO 112 and I figure if I move slow enough the new content will be released by the time I get there.

I was dead set against buying this game when I was in Beta but it grew on me the more I wasn't playing so ended up buying the standard edition as that was difficult on my budget just means I go without my phone service for a couple months.

That's what you losers get for playing 12 hours straight. GG.

i wonder how many people ragging on this guy have actually taken time to drive around the map?

i did yday. we drove around doing arkfalls all over the entire map.

and it's really not that big.

i can deffo see someone completing the non repeatable content in a day or less with the size of the map.

5 zones? idk what qualifies as a zone in this game. afaict there are two areas that would qualify as a zone in terms of size and other factors in other games. the big main land area and the smaller island to the south across the bridge.

i wonder what these DLCs are gonna look like now that i've taken the time to explore.

for myself as far as story missions go, i believe i'm not too far in so far myself. i just did that solo instance in teh bunker last night before exploring with guildies.

i think the nice thing though is- in this game unlike gw2 you can actually do actual exploration. if you go all teh way south your guns are just as good as if you wait later more or less. as it is i think the arkfalls with the mechs are easier than the bug arkfalls.

There will be more missions added during the TV show's season, as well as other DLC as time goes by. This is a shooter, not an RPG, though it has some RPG elements thrown into the mix.

    This.

I did episodic missions/side quests before I touch main story quests. And even then every time I see a blue ! or shield or when my EGO tells me to kill stuff, I do it. I look for that. I've even been 100m away from a mission area then ran away due to an arkfall or some side engagement.
