I can see some of it being interesting but in reality its like adding new Dailies in WoW - At First its Awesome and you're loving it but once you've done them a couple of times (Such as the Time Trials ect) then its old News. I'm hoping they add more variation for Arkfalls and such, would be good if they keep them up to date and manage to put Loot in them. (The Main Ones that is)

Have to say its quite unclear on where One Zone starts and where the other Ends. Only realised yesterday that you could move your mouse and it would tell you what area in the top left corner.

But yes, to me what we had in Beta (The First 2) Would seem more like One Zone than two. Interested to see what they open up with the DLC's - I was expecting the whole map to be opened but it ended up just being a bit misleading (Much like WarZ's Map prior to release - Looked big but actually about 20-30% of the map is unused).

I might be done a bit quick, as I tend to ignore the challenges. Some of them simply makes me rage. I only do Main and Side quests.

    Just throwing this in here:

A MMORPG means a game has role playing aspects and is played by a lot of people in the same world online. Nothing less, nothing more.

It's not a MMORPG and i say that because it's missing some "Social Interaction".

Looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massive...e-playing_game makes me wanna call this a Multiplayer game and thats it.

I have played about 5 hours. I do not know how "done" I am.
I also think Trion is on to something with the dynamic quests, while it is odd to come into a quest zone in the end, or middle of compleation, and only get half the story. I do think it is quite fun, and helourious too.

If there was a way to create longer, multiple step, dynamic quests, much like the major archfalls. But not just combat arenas, actual scenarios.

The real thing holding games back from dynamic content though is dialog. Speaking from personal knowledge, it is very easy to randomly generate a bunch of numbers and through a bunch of enemy's into an area until someone kills them. But it is almost impossible to create dialog dynamically, spoken or otherwise.

Its the same reason why liner games often have a better story then open world games.
Im not saying one is better then the other, I enjoyed Skyrim for the story I made, and I enjoyed Bioshock for the story it told.

Ya I think this game is more along the lines of Planetside 2. Instead of a FPSMMO, Defiance is a Third Person Shooter MMO or TPSMMO. I really dont think there is that much room for people to play a "role". I think the problem here is people associate MMO with MMORPG, but MMO just means you have a crap ton of players online. Maybe I'm wrong?

nope definatly right. all these people that are trying to argue what it is, when they make there case they are solely describing what an MMO is and not what a RPG,FPS,TPS is. so many specials in this world

you can rush through OBLIVION or MORROWIN in 5-10 minutes and they are SP only soooo ? if you rush like nolifer main missions it can takes 1 day. But who cares? real players enjoy gameplay ,story ,background and real players try every aspect of the game .... especially in MMO
