How to take care of the whiners trion!

I am not referring to the countless bugs in this game, I good sir am simply talking about paid update #5 and that alone

And No drackiller I am not "one of those people" all I see is people *****ing about difficulty but they still log on and play. The definition of crazy is performing the same actions over and over expecting a different outcome... so I say again LOG OFF if you don't like it!

The link I provided deals only with dlc 5 issues that Trion is working on fixing. The hotfix patch 1.501 deals with fixing admittedly broken aspects of dlc 5.

DLC 5 was broken on delivery.

The alpha testers warned about it being released as it was.

Trion admits as much and is working to fix it.

Firstly, splitting the server by difficulty is not the way to go. The whole idea behind and MMO is just that - all of us together. Not some segration nonsense - segregation never works in society or in games. The player base is already divided and this DLC did nothing to encourage peaceful coexistence. It pissed everyone off on both sides of the fence.

A much simpler solution is to scale back the open world - maybe not all the way but at least halfway. For those of you that feel the need to play on insane mode, it's already in there - it's called expert level co-ops and arenas.

Throwing hostility at the majority of players will get you nowhere. The fault lies squarely on Trion, not on the casual player and not on the action-hungry pro either. WE did not change this game, Trion did. It's a drastic change and if you are blind to that, well whatever. As a casual 5K, I'm neither a noob nor a pro. I liked the easy pace of defiance and now it's far too busy. Nowhere in the open world is safe and since I WORK all day, the last thing I want to do is WORK all night. I don't have the energy for that since I live in the real world.

A half nerf would make it not fun lol... As a 5k ego player you would smash everything you see... And I'm in the real world bro.. Worked 20 hours in the last 2 days. , logged on the last 2 nights and gained over 200 ego in about 7 hours of total playtime. Honestly no one "makes you work" in the defiance world. You can choose to do what you want. Go chill in mount tam if you want it easy or go have fun with a group of clan mates. There's really no point in arguing this point anymore, as bonehead pasted the link saying they are fixing it up for the people that can't hang

I for one, enjoy the challenge. It's a change of pace compared to everything dying with ease. However, I can also understand the frustration of the newer players. It's one thing to know what you are doing, but another to start the game for the first time and end up in a threat 10 encounter, and dying in 1 hit. The learning curve is now quite unforgiving for new players. I'm sure there will be patches upon patches and endless nerfs until things are balanced a little better.

Understandably, this is Trion we are talking about. Things will be nerfed to no end, because things never seem to really have the feel that they were thought out through enough.

In all honesty, with Trion's track record with how things have been released it was no surprise that this was going to have it's share of issues. I truly do believe that they tend to throw things out there without thinking it through, and so the numerous patches to come in order to straighten out and fix what should have been fixed. What I've done is take a 2-week vacation from it - since I can't buy the DLC due to the bumbled PS3 deadline missed (AGAIN), I'm not going to even try to do much until I can. No point in leveling up without the precious arkforge I can't yet have access to.

So, yeah, that's my solution, stay out. But I am visiting forums to keep up with what's happening.

What I see in game when I did log on for just a little bit (stood around socializing, not playing) was a whole lot of rage. The change is cranked up to 11 and most players are really pissed. A few of you tough guys love it and I get that. And Trion is going to handle it they say. Hopefully they won't overcorrect again but maybe over the next couple weeks they can dial it in to please most everyone. I realize the hardcore will not be happy about that, but unfortunately most hardcore types never picked up Defiance to begin with, so I doubt there's enough of a player base to support the game and keep the lights on. The toughies are all off playing dark souls right now.
