Agreed. There are so many things in this game that should be much simpler. Several hours in today I discovered the "EGO WHEEL" that lets you adjust all your video/audio settings and a whole lot more. I happened to bump the spacebar while on the player screen. I had virtually given up on adjusting some of those settings while in game and was so stoked to find it I ended up adding a video about it to my youtube channel. The icon they have on the menu even says "space" but it just doesn't stand out. Frustrating.
Under the EGO wheel is also a lot of other cool stuff. Like "Intel" where you can listen to audio and watch video about the lore. And "Goals" where you can track your pursuits (there's a lot of them).
I found no instruction on how to exit the game or log out to change a character, luckily it's the rather obvious F6 key.
Also, F1-F6 all bring up windows that are accessed through the ego wheel.
Here's one:
I bought a gun. I modded it, added 3 slots, didn't have the... whatever they are (credits? green goo?) to put the 4th slot in, though the option was available. I equipped it, thinking I'd just do it later. Unequipped it later, and the option to add slots was gone. My assumption: you lose the ability to add mod slots when you equip something. Thoughts/corrections?
"10. Remember this is a new game, a new idea, and Trion staff is only 150 people large "
150 development team is astronomically large. Most of the impactful and successful games of the past few years have come from teams of 20 or fewer.
