You can do solo missions, story missions, episode missions and random missions that pop up in the world. I am finding the story missions kinda gay, at least the ones were you need to solo. They make it such a tedious task just to beat it. For example, I am in 1 solo story mission were I must find this Narah or something guy. This guy is kinda a cloaking ninja assassin. He teleports, cloaks and dodges like no other, he even has a aoe were he slams the ground causing fissures. As this wasn't hard enough, I have to fight him 3 times............. oh wait, I don't know, because SERVERS DISCONNECTED before I could kill him a 3rd time. Now I gotta redo.

Doesn't include the exploring and pursuits.
the only thing i havent done is contracts, and i gotta say, you might aswell just download a game like fallout and have a much better experience. the only thing i even like is coop missions. i mean these guys want you to pay for the game + dlc + cash shop for half the fun.

I think I figured out why this game was made. I know, I am fast .
Defiance started as an idea for just a TV series. Game was added later as an additional marketing. Because TV people have almost no concept of computer platforms, they demanded game to be available to as large population as possible. In this moment Defiance the game became marketing tool for Syfy and platform testing tool for Trion.

I like racing games. But alongside graphics, sound, playability and all other aspects of a game, racing games have one other that is very important to them. Or players that play them. Level of simulation. Shortly: is it arcade or simulation. Just compare all NFS games with GTR games. NFS games are arcade while GTR is simulation. Huge difference to some people.

Defiance, I feel, is an arcade. Co-op arcade designed to be finished as quickly as possible and than wait for next DLC. It's an e-sport game and as a shooter it flows very nicely but feels so lifeless and rushed. You jump from whenever you want and there is not even a grunt when you land. Car controls are ridiculous. Driving a car up the steep mountain is only surpassed in stupidity with jumping with a car from this same high mountain and simply driving away.

Imo, this game was designed to be just an excursion into cross platform. To test the waters and make a bundle of cash on our naivety as I think most of us expected more. Or at least better.
