Defiance is going free to play - not sure how I feel about it....

So, the word on various websites is that Defiance is going free to play from June for PC, July for ps3 and Xbox has no date yet. As a season pass holder and fan of both the show and the game, I'm not sure how I feel about this and more importantly it makes me feel like the game is getting ready to be shelved as a bad idea.

According to game informer "All new and existing box copy owners will receive boosts, character shots, keys, and currency".
I'm thinking shots is meant to be slots...I think all of us who have been here since the beginning deserve more, perhaps like something that newbies can see that we were here since the beginning, a rare vehicle would do nicely.

I've never been a fan of free-to-play ever since City of Heroes/City of Villains tried it but ended up shutting down.

From the article, so that whole legendary kit for 80 bucks (on sale) was a myth? Character shots sounds like fun, maybe they will finally allow us to drink with shot glasses!
