I paid $60 for Defiance and got robbed!

Sorry, I'm just not convinced that Trion was even trying this time.
If you can't milk 50+ hrs out of this game then that is your fault for getting robbed. It is unbelievably easy to push 50+ hrs played without even finishing all the main story quests. Imo getting 50+ hrs out of $60 game = ROI on said game. Hell if I get 30 hrs of entertainment out of $60 game then I am satisfied with my purchase.

Well if you did you paid about $60 for a game that is over in 15 hours or so.
No DLC coming anytime soon .
Great game but now what do you do? Play it over and over.

Now here is defiance and some people say they are finished after 12+ hours... Well only of you have capped your EGO, and even then the game is not over. it never ends in a sense because it is an online game that continues.
DLC will be coming very soon , maybe 2 weeks, maybe sooner, with more each month.

This is not your basic shooter, it is a MMO shooter that will continue forward, not stay stagnate and have you replay the same stuff over and over.
Content will be new and plentyful.
its a mmo shooter..with pretty much no stats that matter. no classes..etc. I got more out of DCUO then this game. I have no reason to continue the game.. its the same thing over and over. The story is what is good about this game..not the ONLINE part of it. I have yet to group. Yet to get in a shadow war match. Also waiting for the dlc that is coming so soon? Its content that should have been in the game to begin with.

With Bioshock i already know what im getting. Its worth the 60 bucks without a doubt

^Lol at that DCOU comment....so true though! That game was more of an MMO than this was, and THAT'S not saying much!

Do you even play MMOs? You're assuming that just because you CAN do something then that means that you'll have fun doing it. We're complaining about the game as a whole. Sure you could run around the ONE map for 10 hours every day and do the little mini events that don't require a mission...but why in the world would I do something so dull? I want content that's actually worth $60 AND my time. If I wanted to piss away money and play a ****ty MMO I would of stuck to WoW (BUT AT LEAST THAT GAME HAS 4 CONTINENTS!).

I can understand your comment and I think that this game is just not for you. I can agree with the other poster I can wander round and snipe things do the rescue missions and im happy exploring the world. Thats not to say im right and your wrong we just have different play styles and expectations.

    This just isnt your style.

Fun is subjective. You may not enjoy the game, but I do. I am sorry you did not enjoy the game. My only advice is do more research before making a purchase to make sure it is for you. In the end you still did not get robbed. It was your choice to purchase the game. You could have avoided purchasing the game by doing the proper research and deciding if the game was going to be fun for you.

It's fallout without the content (and yet online). You're right, totally not my style bro you ABSOLUTELY know what you're talking about, as usual.

Anyway, I was giving it some thought and I came up with a good comparison of Trion working hard and Trion being a lazy *****. Enjoy

    Example:

Rift: Consisted of several large maps and as such, had areas in between these maps where players could explore. They rewarded these players by adding in a BUNCH of world puzzles...which if solved gave these players powerful rewards. On top of that, there were thousands of hidden easter eggs, achievements and cosmetic/Fun items to find in the game.
^I unlocked a title called "Dances with squirrels"...guess how I got it?!

Defiance: 1 map, thousands of invisible walls everywhere. Players are only rewarded for doing the main story/TV missions and also for doing the standard console time trials that are in most games now (like assassin's creed). Let's also not forget the Bioshock audio recordings that can be found in every OBVIOUS place in the tiny map provided.
^I unlocked the same car I already had....only black. Pretty rewarding guys!

Please understand, I'm only trying to point out that Trion could of done a WHOLE lot better with this game. Also, if it's going to be tied to the TV show that much...then get ready for your YEARLY DLCs as the seasons slowly come out 1 by 1.

OH and if you're a console player, you don't get to have an opinion here. If you don't know why that is, then please google how much money it takes for a gaming company to provide updates to your ****ty console games. In fact... that's prob the reason this game is so short in the first place...

Well seeing as it's a one time pay and not a monthly fee I believe it's worth it.

15 hours? Lucky. Bought the new DMC when it came out. Took about 4 hours, including a few smoke breaks and grabbing a quick meal.

I get what you are saying that that is a horrible comparison. CoDs main draw is it's MP, not campaign.
