Console players need to adjust to what a MMO is.

there is more than just the main story to do. Console players will rush through all the main story missions and then consider the game done until DLC comes out. because all of their other games are like that.

but MMOs don't work that way.

I don't see how people are finding this short! :O

I MIGHT be near the end of campaign, i'm not sure but there are still LOTS of side missions to do...

Surely this is like 40-50 hours of side+main missions?

Then again I do alot of co-op on the side and Arkfalls..
100% Man crush on Tom Hardy

I actually preordered Bioshock Infinite and Defiance CE at the same time. I got about 40% (?) through BSI in two sessions and then Defiance dropped. As of now I'm stuck getting my dental work done cheap by Handyman in some factory after catching up with Elizabeth when she bolted so it'll keep for a bit. I do have a DLC code already for that btw that came as a preorder bonus.

Nothing about Defiance appears short so far, especially since the show is still a week or so away from premiering. Other that this, all I have to compare it to is Elder Scrolls, which makes every other game look like a public service announcement.
Control is not convinced, but the compu-ter has the evi500 SERVER ERROR

Itll be a blessing when all the people who complain finally quit with all these threads, same thing every day people complaining there is no content when so much to be done.

You must be new to online games. This game will eventually go F2P when enough players start quitting (because theres nothing to do once you finnish the 20h playthrough) and you'll get a whole new BR player base! Have fun

41 hours in, just getting into San Francisco now
    • Did all quests up to that (excluding Project Aegis chain which is bugged for me. No SF quests done.)
    • Got gold on all the rampages and races (except two rampages in SF.)
    • Done all episode quests.
    • All locations discovered and data recorders (except SF and 1 in Marin cause they bugged.)
    • Haven't done any PvP or Co-ops yet.
    • Have done a bunch of arkfalls and events. Around 10 events.
    • 806 EGO level.

I'd say even if you can "finish" the game, it's still longer than most games you buy today.

My response to your points in order:
    1. All of which are pretty straight forward and soloable.
    2. It's just not an MMO without single player time trials from other failing console games.
    3. All 4 episode missions? Bro you ROCK!
    4. You explored ONE WHOLE MAP?! Wohh thar! How many invisible walls did you run into along the way?
    5. You haven't done ANY multiplayer content at all? Thats something I'd keep to myself, console player.
    6. You mean that arkfall event that occurs every hour? Yeah...you ever notice that those things are always the same?
    7. 50% of which you unlocked via pursuit rewards. Nothing says HARD WORK like 150 free levels per achievement!

I have 503h played on Rift and I will personally be the first to tell you that Trion could of done a hell of a lot better.

Anyway, I was giving it some thought and I came up with a good comparison of Trion working hard and Trion being a lazy *****. Enjoy

    Example:

Rift: Consisted of several large maps and as such, had areas in between these maps where players could explore. They rewarded these players by adding in a BUNCH of world puzzles...which if solved gave these players powerful rewards. On top of that, there were thousands of hidden easter eggs, achievements and cosmetic/Fun items to find in the game.
^I unlocked a title called "Dances with squirrels"...guess how I got it?!

Defiance: 1 map, thousands of invisible walls everywhere. Players are only rewarded for doing the main story/TV missions and also for doing the standard console time trials that are in most games now (like assassin's creed). Let's also not forget the Bioshock audio recordings that can be found in every OBVIOUS place in the tiny map provided.
^I unlocked the same car I already had....only black. Pretty rewarding guys!

Please understand, I'm only trying to point out that Trion could of done a WHOLE lot better with this game. Also, if it's going to be tied to the TV show that much...then get ready for your YEARLY DLCs as the seasons slowly come out 1 by 1.

OH and if you're a console player, you don't get to have an opinion here. If you don't know why that is, then please google how much money it takes for a gaming company to provide updates to your ****ty console games. In fact... that's prob the reason this game is so short in the first place...
Ugh, people instantly lose credibility when they call game devs "lazy". You think the game is bad value? Great. You think the devs did a bad job? Fine. But lazy? That's a character judgement, and a slanderous one at that. That kind of presumptuous arrogance doesn't help anyone.

^Finds 1 word in my entire post and tries to attack me for it. Way to prove to me you diddn't read my post at all. I never once said that I hated the game (in fact I'm enjoying all 25h of it!). I only stated that it's not worth $60 because of how short and lack-luster it is.
