must say I also did really just buy this game to support Trion.. that being said the game is actually more then I expected :P

only thing that I would want to see changed is the chat, but thats about it.

    EDIT:
    o yeah and another thing:
SYFY should air the show in Holland... we got the channel, but not the show . offcourse now I will download it, but thats not the point :P AIR IT :P(but thats not something for Trion to fix offc)

Smooth launch for an mmo and remarkably little lag or bugging all things considered.
first of all how should a SHOOTER be a RPG killer ^^
2nd wow is already dead ... gw2 killed it
3rd RIFT is trions wow killer (its way better)

I've bought a lot of bits (like 10k), season pass, deluxe version and I'm loving it. (Even though there is some stuff I want them to improve BUT the game has been out for about 24hours so I'm giving them time

And the show + the game interaction will be epic!

    Regards, Smauzt!

I don't have regrets at all, got the deluxe version. I think with the interaction with the show coming in 2 weeks we will be in for some surprises. I'm happy to be along for the ride and participating.

Don't get me wrong, for what it is they did a decent job. I just expected more from Trion especially since Rift was so good. I figured they'd use much of their mmo knowledge and incorporate it into this.

I think part of the problem there was rift has been in development for a long time,
I think this has been rushed and not fully developed because they're trying to limit them selves from adding too much so that the TV show is in sync with it.

I'm sure while watching the TV show we'll see them use some new weapon, vehicle, system, anything and then we'll find it in the game the same night if not the next day I can see things like this happening a lot.

But it really seems like they have a brick wall in development they can't go past so that the show and game align/sync properly, if they were to go past this everything would be thrown completely out of whack.

I personally haven't played rift or many MMO's for that matter.

But I am a developer and I have worked on MMO's doing something new never done before like creating a show and game which follow with each other would be pretty hard and would certainly have it's limitations especially when the writing for the show has already been completed for the first few episodes but not the rest meaning the game has a limit.

That's a big issue is the developers for the game can't do anything until they have the script for the show in my opinion so they have to wait for the people over and syfy to forward over the latest scripts just before they air then trion is rushed to get everything in at that point as well.

To a certain extent I am. I'm keen to play the game and just have fun, I can handle terrible games and find a way to enjoy them. The big issue which stops me from playing for more than 20-30 minutes is the lack of a FoV slider and where they decided to put the character on screen...in a really really weird area. Far left bottom of the screen. It feels like playing a 3rd person game against a wall with a camera bug. And the FoV being so low makes me nauseous.

The only problem I have with where they placed the character is that sometimes when your crosshair is right on the target and you think you have a clear line of sight you end up firing into a nearby object or wall. Also, third person cameras allow you to look around corners without exposing yourself, especially if the corner is to your right, which is silly.
