Thankfully though I got the game for 48 bucks instead of 60.
Game has only been out one day .Damn good for a free mmo.
If I was paying monthly subscription my opinion might be different

Personally I can't wait to watch the TV show and hope they can explain a lot more than the game does. I love my RPG type games and this is extremely light on that element, I love character development and I love to place my stats where I want them.

Everyone these days wants care bear type games where anything you do doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, I loved Dungeons & Dragons Online then it became F2P and now caters to the cater's to the care bear's and totally ruined it.

This game feels like a huge single player game even in co-op it still feels like single player especially when no one says a dang thing in the chat box, granted I have the most fun in co-op as I am running with people. Though some still bail from the mission if we fail first run against a boss an leave us hanging.

If I wanted to play a single player game I'd just load up Farcry 3 and if I wanted to PvP I'd load up Farcry 3 as it seems to have a lot of the same elements Defiance has except the whole alien thing.

I did reinstall Fallen Earth and have found a new appreciation for that game and am enjoying myself there once again so playing alittle Defiance and alittle Fallen Earth at least I can duel wield pistols. What I can't get from Defiance I can from Fallen Earth and what I can't get in Fallen Earth I can from Defiance so it works out well for me.

Have fun and enjoy and don't forget RL!

The game is fun so far. I am having a good time. I do wish there was a better chat system as I feel alone in an mmo. Also an auction house would be cool. Good stuff so far though. I the only regret I have is I wish I bought it from steam for the extra rewards

Well, I am disappointed and I do regret wasting money.
I know it's been just one day, but it's such a let down for me so far. Even spending money on Tera and Diablo 3 wasn't so disappointing and I stopped playing them after two weeks.
I just hope I will find some new and exciting part of the game in next few days.

Trion named it an MMO shooter. I see the shooter, I don't see the MMO. This is probably it's biggest downfall in my opinion.

Another aspect I would redo almost entirely would be the leveling/skill system. I'd get rid of the random ego points when you level up(so instead of saying "I'm at 250 ego" which, maybe its just me, but I have no idea how that affects any aspect of my game), and put in a straightforward 1-50/60 leveling system.

Atm, the classes are completely irrelevant besides changing your starting weapon. I understand that they're trying to stick to the tv show and not stray too far, but it could be improved. I would give each of the 4 classes almost entirely different ego perk trees. Each class would have 4 main abilities you could choose from, like it is now, only being able to choose one at a time. The survivalist class could be like the rogue, having 4 main rogue-like abilities and all the subsequent perks would be related to that "role". These are all, of course, off the top of my head.

Yet another would be the weapons. From when I first started playing, to now at Ego 173(I think), I've seen no difference in weapon power. In fact, I've seen a level 10 weapon be better than a level 104, which to me is just absurd. Higher level should almost always equal better. That is, until you hit the level cap and then you're grinding for better RNG loot.

There's probably a few other areas I would touch upon but I don't want the post to be ridiculously long that no one reads it lol.
Agree...I didnt expect much after playing the beta. This is a single player game with a MMO tag on it. Hopefully we will see some stuff changed to give it that community feel.

I did a whole bunch of reading up on it, watching videos.. seeing what it would have. Played the beta and it lived up to about what I expected. I even remember an interview where they said it was a "Shooter first" kind of game. I was expecting a shooter, got a shooter. Extra EGO perks for added damage or defenses in certain aspects, cool.

Money spent on what I wanted to get and I enjoy what it is. The fact that they've brought down the servers a few times today to patch issues tells me they do care and want to fix things. They even had that notice on the main website about the game and the issues they're addressing. I'll just keep playing and being patient as they fix and adjust the game to the point that a majority of the players are happy. DLC included.

Yeah, definitely one of the the worst purchases I've ever made.

Still, I'd like to keep playing and enjoy this game; hopefully the developers at Trion Worlds will heed our concerns and give this game some much-needed updates in the next month.

Been playing almost every mmo there is, got to admit this is the only game I don't regret getting it and I'm just having the time of my life.

Gladly spent my $45 and wouldn't regret spending $60. Really enjoyable game.
Those of you that are upset missed the betas and or didn't understand the description of the game, Trion never lied, etc. It was described exactly as it is.
Don't be insulted because i don't wanna explain myself, i was probably joking anyway.
