I'm sorry but I couldn't help but try to picture a piggy voice narrating that lol.

Anyway, I would like to see Trion employees try to play at Vulge sieges. Let's see them try to kill 8 Ark Vicera running after you spamming boomerangs, blur charge and cold fire arm cannons... Oh wait, they don't play their own game, nor do the testers extensively test it... We're the damn guinea pigs that get to test it, but the scientists let the mutations spread...

Guess I'm the only one who likes it. Lol I got EXACTLY what I wanted. This TL10 bullet sponge wont be a problem when the lowbie noobs catch up to us 5k+ers. Trust me when they catch up, we'll want more difficulty.

Yes, there is and I love it. With grinds come mistakes made which in turn makes it more challenging and thus of higher difficulty due to various reason such as frustration which is proven to make players not do as well as they normally would.

Any way you put it, this is actually a good idea (I know most of you will disagree with me here and that doesn't matter right now) b/c down the road those 200-2k EGO noobs will catch up in EGO and obtain the the gear for high damage, sustain and experience as players to make better choices, learn patterns etc etc and then this bullet sponge wont matter b/c most players will be on an even playing field in co-ops, raids and sieges. It will take some time but it will come and the bullet sponge wont seem like a grind anymore. Give the noobs a chance and watch grind seem less like a grind. It WILL happen.

Thats all good and well but what do we do in the meantime? If this were to happen how many people would of just forgotten about Defiance? How long do you think it is going to take all these noobs to reach 5000? No way should we veterans be punished and have to put the game to one side while we wait because of this. We can't even help them.

It seems to me far more likely the noobs will just quit the game.

Sure, actually staying awake through the endless, mind-numbing grind that is, say, an Expert Motherlode Co-Op might be viewed a "challenge," at least by people willing to use the broadest possible definition of the term. For those who consider "challenge" in a video game to be something describing a greater level of skill, what the bullet sponge change brought doesn't remotely qualify. You don't have to fight any better, you just have to fight longer, and try not to hit the point where the tedium and immersion-killing inanity of emptying multiple magazines of ammo into a minion's face before it dies makes you throw up your hands and say "jek this shtako." How anyone could possibly consider that fun escapes me...but to each their own, I guess. I'd bet my car against a stale bagel and bag of Mexican dirt weed that far more players think the current state of the game sucks than like it.

Challenge in a shooter game should involve a need to employ better tactics, better targeting, and so forth. It shouldn't involve trying to stave off lapses in concentration deriving from doing the same damn thing over and over and OVER again. The latter is what we have in this poor, ruined game now...and yeah, I'm pretty PO'd about it. I loved this game (for all that I thought it was too easy, too).

Nothing will ever make bullet sponge enemies seem like anything other than a tiresome grind. It's lazy game development of the worst sort.

WOO! You get a 10/10 rating! Seriously though, I agree that this is nowhere near challenging, just a lazy workaround to make it look like a challenge...

    Gonna disagree with you.

I'm 16 away from 5k. I have some of the best gear the game offers. I know the EGO grid, and know how to use it properly.

At no time do I find it "challenging" to unload clip after clip into a Viscera. Not when at a roadside emergency, the same "ARK" type Viscera will go down with 1/2 a clip.

I remember very well. And, things are happening precisely the way we said they would. Unfortunately.
