People are shouting out glitch yet no one explain what the glitch is about, is the glitch that it 1 hit people?. Sorry to tell you but that not a glitch. Every item is done by code and value. Maybe the dev team made a mistake on the code which made it super op. THAT IS NOT A GLITCH.

While all these high ego are crying about the BMG i don't understand either stay out of the shadow war or grab a bmg yourself. You wanna ban us for what? because we happen to get an item that was not forced upon us?. Let just ask the dev to remove the gun completely instead of banning players.

I am still new to this game yet i feel sorry for the high ego that cry over this. I am starting to think The high ego are seriously hurt because they are getting drilled in the *** by a lowbie that doesn't even know they are glitching (like myself). I broke my BMG cause someone wanted to report me but soon after looking around the forum even youtubing it. There no glitch or exploit with the BMG, it's just overpowered. All the dev have to do is lower the damage ratio on it that or make it a heal gun only.

THERE IS NO FACT/EVIDENCE THAT THERE IS AN EXPLOIT WITH THE BMG. The only fact is that it 1 hits during PVP thats it. Wanting to ban a player just because a player uses BMG is ridiculous assumption that they are glitching.I stop doing Shadow War cause of the crybaby but hey just cause i stopped doesnt mean the 100+ other player with a spanner won't so good luck.

I guess we should assume all the 1 hit kill gun are glitched as well. Hey dev let ban all the people with sniper rifle cause they instant kill if shot in the face. Oh let ban all the players using guided projectile to, and i almost forgot let ban all the people using the grenade launcher because it makes no sense that a direct explosion can cause instant death right?.

Game Population 10%> Shuts Down > Reason = everything is a glitch apparently.

Oh good! Thank you for posting that, Drama. I was dreading trying to grind through my remaining PvP pursuits just because it can be so annoying. Still will be painful, but points is points is points.

OK ease up! If you read the whole thread you will see that most of us don't want people banned. We do want The Company to fix this issue ASAP. I don't think this post was meant as a personal affront to YOU.

You're right, it's not an exploit it's a glitch and a lot of people are taking advantage of it. Enjoy it while you can.

The issue is, in the hands of a low level player the BMG is massively buffed, way too OP - in PVP only (not in open world, etc.). In my high-level hands, the BMG is actually a lot less powerful in PVP. Just another mess accidentally created by Trion.

Ranting like this will only make more players aware of you and they'll come after you in game. Once the glitch is fixed you better watch your back! I don't mean me, either. I hate PVP with or without glitches.

Happily I finished PVP pursuits a long time ago. Now and then I pop in to help clan gain points but just stand around or let myself die repeatedly while I make dinner or take a shower. An easy 2 keycodes.

The problem is not the BMG. The problem is the EGO buff given to all players in PvP who are under that magical EGO level. The lower your EGO is, the STRONGER your BMG is, because of the larger buff (an EGO 1000 is boosted by 4500, while an EGO 5100 is boosted by 400, and an EGO 5800 is NOT boosted at all.)

So, your idea of "just get a BMG too" doesn't work. The higher EGO BMGs are not 1-hit kills in PvP. This is also effecting other weapons (just not as badly).

I agree with the MAJORITY saying there should not be bans handed out on this, but it should be fixed as FAST AS POSSIBLE. It is hurting the balance of the PvP game AND punishing the higher EGO player again.

Lucky duck! I think I am two thirds of the way done with the time played. The biggest grind is going to be all the various Capture and Hold kills. I absolutely despise that one. I am almost done with Shadow Wars (probably will get them during this weekend's clan event). I am holding out til then simply because of the no BMG/cloaking rules. It will make the games go faster and level the playing field so that everyone has a better chance at getting through pursuits. *crosses fingers*

I know you don't want them to mess with your precious little 0.0 reload always cloaked guns, but if they mess with the bmg's it is only fair to to the same to the other guns.

Now all this is going to do is make ALL guns weak as hell then you will all be crying again that your always getting killed in the open world.

I think the devs should make pvp that you only go in with your gun and shields. NO spikes, No stims, NO perks I'm sure you all wouldn't like that either. I don't pvp, cause there pretty much is no skill involved. It's really hard to kill someone when that person can't even see you.

I've often thought PVP should be bare bones - no levels, no ego, maybe even no EGO perk. Just a gun N you. Agree - skill has had very little to do with PVP in Defiance all along.

No, this is not the complaint and you seem to be ignoring EVERYTHING anyone has tried to explain to you. The problem is specifically the boosting of power. An natural EGO1000 can OHK with a BMG, but a natural 5000 can't no matter what one does.

Conversely, a natural EGO1000 can get a 0.0 Zagger, and have the same tools as the natural 5000 in PvP. (Or, a Surgebolter or a Sumi, or any of the other powerful guns in the game.) This then makes the PvP a game of luck (getting good equipment) and skill, which is what it should be.

The problem is the uneven playing field.

For a NON-Defiance analogy:

Two people are playing HORSE. One is (natural EGO1000) is playing using a softball sized "basketball" and a basket made of a hoola-hoop which is 4 inches above the ground. The second (EGO5000) is using a regulation basketball setup. Both players were told this is fair. The game is for $500.

If you were the second person, you'd be upset about the uneven playing field, would you not?
