Ban BMG Glitchers

For a NON-Defiance analogy:

Two people are playing HORSE. One is (natural EGO1000) is playing using a softball sized "basketball" and a basket made of a hoola-hoop which is 4 inches above the ground. The second (EGO5000) is using a regulation basketball setup. Both players were told this is fair. The game is for $500.

If you were the second person, you'd be upset about the uneven playing field, would you not?

To even the playing field, I'll add to that, if the first person is of average height and ability, the second person had better be Michael Jordan in 1992!

By your reckoning when the splitshots got a mistaken over powerd buff/glitch and everyone used them in the war master and pvp, they too should of been banned and punished?

This. I was wondering how long it would be before someone brought up the infamous Extra Life ordeal. In just about any game out there in the market, no one is ever banned for using OP items or builds. It's all part of the balancing act that devs do with the Meta game. Bans are only handed out to "hackers" and those who exploit things that genuinely affect the in-game economics.

In the end, this glitch does nothing except help the noobs get their PvP pursuits completed quicker. Annoying as heck for the rest of us, for sure, but otherwise meaningless.

Theres a difference between innocently using a glitch, and harrassing it. Players who have been constantly asked to stop using the glitch reply with "**** you, you piece of ****" Or "Ill use every damn glitch in the game mother ****er". Kinda gives you the sense of the kind of players spamming it

Every dog has his day. Obnoxious players get a reputation that they can never leave behind. Be patient - this too shall pass. Meantime I'd say don't bother with PVP unless you have to for some reason. Other stuff to do.

How about go find them after match and duel? Or does the glitch work in duels too?

I've often thought PVP should be bare bones - no levels, no ego, maybe even no EGO perk. Just a gun N you. Agree - skill has had very little to do with PVP in Defiance all along.

I've said it a few times....they should have done it the way CODMW did it.....basic load outs to begin with and then you can unlock different weapons and attachments to customize your "play style". I know it won't happen......but it would improve it.

I haven't started PVP....maybe a match or two.....but I can't seem to find the....desire to do it.

Imposing any sort of ban for playing a game as it is, without glitching or using 3d party mods, is entirely ridiculous. Low players using BMGs is currently not a glitch -- it is playing the game as it currently is.

Two options:
(1) Don't PVP until it is fixed;
(2) Roll in with a low level alt and a BMG.

There will always be oddities that create interesting opportunity in an evolving an changing game. You can accept that and take the open doors, or you can be mad and not have fun. I'd encourage you to take the open doors. It's players versus the devs, always. That's the meta game.

Well I Received a ban when the broken orange box came out. I was banned for playing the game the way it was because trion's exact reason was I was violating game mechanics which means that that same phrase could be be used for the bmg being over boosted in pvp. Not that I am saying to ban them.

Trion has always been inconsistent with their punishment. They never banned anyone for cheating with the damage reduction, yet they did when people took advantage of the extra life vendors. They won't ban people for cheating in SWs by spawn camping or leaving and re-entering to avoid being shot recharge their power and look for other players or either. Even though it was against their TOS. People also intentionally ruin the WM by breaking locks early and telling everyone they are doing it on purpose and don't care. I am tired of the trolls in this game that get away with non stop harassment and cheating and just laugh it off cause they only want to ruin the game for as many people as possible. It would love it if they took the complaints more seriously and ban the trolls, but they won't.

Since the games debut PvP got one unbalanced thing piled on top of the other. Each time we thought it couldn't get any worse. But then something always worse and more unbalanced then the last was brought into the game to accommodate the previous unbalanced things. And it just kept on pushing everything else down. Dumbing PvP down more and more each time. And each time it made PvP less and less populated.

The ways things have been its only natural for something like a BMG to insta kill players be in the game. It was the next logical step in the unbalanced evolution for Defiance PvP.

The BMG is Defiance's PvPs reckoning. It cant get any worse then this...or could it?
