    Introduce your Ark Hunter!

I think it's time for some creative fun. With today's live action trailer we got a peek at all sorts of Ark Hunters, but of course the best Ark Hunter is always yours! So let's get to know each other's characters.

This is the thread to tell us all about your Ark Hunter. Tell us about his/her history and motivations, likes and dislikes, maybe even a favorite gun/vehicle? Tell us all about the character behind the gun sights. The floor is wide open, be creative and entertaining!

( Bonus points for introducing yourself in character. )

PSA: Keep in mind, those of you in the Alpha/Beta, try to keep anything covered by the NDA out of your description for now.

Caios ( pronounced "Chaos" ) has always done things her own way. Her clothes, her ink, even her name, were all of her choosing - and she truly doesn't care what others think of her unconventional style. She knows who she is and that's what matters.

Given her attitude, it's no surprise that Caios rarely takes the "authority" part of Authority figures very seriously. This has earned her a reputation as an outlaw. However she holds no particular hate for Lawkeepers. Surviving the world in the aftermath of the Pale Wars is a higher priority for her then what a bunch of men in uniforms tell her to do. Beyond that her only concern is doing what she thinks is right, and doesn't much care who disagrees with her, even if they technically have the law on their side.

While the money is good, Caios didn't get into Ark Hunting to get rich. She's here for the fun and adventure. After all, nothing makes you feel alive quite like being in life threatening situations. Though she's not actually suicidal, people certainly tend get that impression from the way she gleefully rushes head long into danger. But she will look for other more creative solutions to dangerous problems if the direct approach isn't viable. To her there's no such thing as an impossible task, but rather a challenge she hasn't conquered yet.

Her favorite weapon to use is the hand gun; nothing better for that personal touch. In fact she will often go in up close and personal and has no problems resorting to her own fists if she has to. She loves one on one fights with stronger opponents over having to deal with waves of lowly grunts cramping her style.

Want to know more? Well you'll just have to meet her in game...

Terra "Bulldog" Blackwell would be your average techno geek, but one with a strong drive to adventure. She is quite happy to spend hours pouring over bits and pieces of technology to try to create new devices for her and her customers. Not content to wait for technology to be given to her, she has come to San Fransisco to get her tech from the source, Ark Falls. She cares little about money as long as basic needs are met and she has access to her lab and tools. Standing at an even six foot with a slender frame many are surprised at the extent of her gentle nature, and even more surprised at her darker nature underneath. She tends to dress in practical clothing, but tends to clothing that covers her heavily scarred body as much as possible.

Terra prefers to be diplomatic and will go to great lengths to avoid a fight in the average setting. She prefers to assist in the background when in a group and doesn't usually like being in the spotlight. She can hold a grudge, but is quick to forgive and forget on apology. Many a soul however has learned the hard way that the easy going woman has a very different side to her she struggles to suppress. Threaten her friends, innocents, or be the object of an objective and a completely different side appears.

"Bulldog" on the battlefield operates with single minded focus. With her shotgun and cloaking EGO she dances in and out of view leaving combatants suffering from point blank wounds in her wake. She holds little regard to "fair" fights and works to end a fight quickly and often brutally. If not explicitly told to spare something, she has been known to simply detonate a building to take out a target. If given a "dead or alive" option she tends to go with "dead". In her eyes it puts less of a risk on her and anyone she might be working with. Her nickname primarily comes from her disregard for personal safety under fire, and unwillingness to back down even in hopeless odds in pursuit of her targets. She is loyal to a fault, and woe to anyone who betrays that loyalty.
“If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.” ― John Steinbeck

“I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him.” ― Mark Twain

Okabe was out of money, out of luck, and out of time. He was already in some pretty deep sh*t with his landlord, but having his 'loans' piling up due to his alcohol and gambling problem wasn't helping much either. The Raiders already took his left eye to compensate for not paying pack his 'loan', and it wouldn't be long until they came for the other. The mercenary business wasn't doing so great now with these 'Arkfalls' crashing down. Without much skills in the real-world, Okabe was at a loss.

It wasn't until he was about to give up all hope that he heard about Von Bach Industries. They were hiring stone-cold killing-machines, and boy, did he match that description. He grabbed his favorite sniper and pistol and drove on down to meet with the head of it all, Mr. Von Bach. He said that because of Okabe's... 'interesting'... skills, he would be sent to retrieve pieces of the Arkfalls to deliver to Von Bach Industries to research. Ironically, the very thing that sent Okabe out of business has just got him back in. So Okabe was back on the job, getting his pay, drinking some booze, and getting revenge for that Raider scum on the side.

Maybe he can even get his eye back...

(I guess if everybody else is doing this I might as well jump on the band wagon)

My character Grey, was a soldier in the Pale War, nothing special about him, a hired gun now moving from town to town helping or hurting if the money or reward was enough, now hired as an Ark Hunter he just simply wants money but isn't here to make war just money, easy to get along with you may not agree with his views nor my you like his horrible jokes or the fact he can't shut his mouth, but if you get past all the noises and gruffness he isn't truly that bad, just really likes money, enjoys blasting enemies away with his guns and using his decoy ability to confound his foes to no end.

Money may be important but he does have a few rules, no hurting children, no attacking random citizens, and if you get hired for a job you finish it and just because you think you're the best doesn't mean you are, he knows that he most always get stronger to hold his own, the fields of battle are his true home, gunfire and bloodshed are his best friends.

Simple and easy, keep your friends close and your money closer

(Sorry for not writing an entire crazed story I'm watching Star Trek)

Char name would be "Hippy" would like to equate himself to Chuck Norris, but needs the ark Tech to get above 9000, used to be a soldier (eventually became a deserter in the event of an inhumane war) but now is trying to reconcile with his past by advancing and pillaging as much as he can, he's only a small ark hunter at about 5"1 but what he doesn't add in height he adds in knee biting rage and lustful fury, only hobby is admiring the female ark hunters despite being extremely at loss with what to say to them (this also adds to his knee biting rage and want to be as powerful as Chuck) his overall plan would be to tick off the Tech and Godly power box then destroy all who refuse him a date or are taller than him (he has to overcompensate somewhere), there is really no technique on the battlefield that describes how hippy mentally prepares or even uses guns as he doesn't, all we know is that he works himself up into a rage (the only thing he can reach at his height) and start beating the hell out of whatever's in front of him.

I was going to have a male human character but then decided on a female Irathient instead.

Her name is Lirra Sani. Born 2020 on Earth, Lirra saw her father die very early on in the Pale Wars (circa 2024), her mother disappeared shortly afterwards and Lirra was raised by her sister Ethra (only 3 years older than Lirra). The two mostly stayed away from the combat, choosing to move to remote areas where they met with several humans who also chose not to fight. When the Pale Wars ended in 2032, they moved again to safer areas in Columbia (not the country, but the Earth Republic state) as they had decided that humans were not as bad as they had been told.

Despite living in a place where equality was promoted, Lirra and Ethra did not feel welcomed. In 2033, Lirra was badly beaten by some human teenagers and Ethra hunted them down, killing two of them and severely injuring another. Ethra decided that humans would never accept them and went to move, however Lirra had adjusted to New York and did not want to move again, having made many friends in the city. Ethra was enraged at Lirra and left to join the Votanis Collective. Lirra was raised at various Votan orphanages in the city until her 18th birthday when she joined with the Earth Republic Army's Votan auxiliary corps, often engaged in fighting with Raider patrols and other threats along Columbia's borders.

In her mid 20's she left the service and took a position as an Ark Hunter, not for money or adventure, but because she had heard rumors of an Irathient woman matching Ethra's description in the Bay Area and wanted to track her sister down, despite the bounty on Ethra's head over the two murders, and reconcile with the only family she has left.

Lirra is trusting of many people, however she has adopted several human biases of the Votan species, something she wants to rid herself of. She is tough but at the same time fragile when innocent people (human or Votan) are in danger and always willing to help out.

Rykus Talborn has always been good when it comes to mechanical engineering, while other kids were playing outside he was messing around with spare parts in his father's garage. So when VBI started recruiting, he was one of the first to sign up. Now he is on his way to San Fransisco and his chance to prove himself as an Ark Hunter
