weapon attachments

Please, tell me how exactly to attach parts to weapons, this is looks like an impossible quest to me.
how does this matrix station work ?

Mods are specific to weapon types.
Weapons must have available mod slots, which also match the mod type.

Ie:

Assault Rifle

x - closed mod slot
Scope - open mod slot for an Assault Rifle Scope
x - Closed mod slot
Mag - Open mag slot for an Assault Rifle Mag mod.

You have a Mag Mod or Scope Mode that suits an Assault Rifle? You can attach it to this weapon.


The mod you are trying to attach will state that it's for a particular weapon type. Ie; Infectors, Detonators, Assault Rifles, etc.

To answer some questions quickly...

First off the weapon has to have mod slots which can been seen when you select the weapon, there are 4 slots (stock,barrel, mag, and sight) which each require different types of mods. Not all mods work for every weapon the mods, mods are specific to each weapon class (assault, sniper, etc). You can add mod slots to weapons by spending Ark Salvage but you can't do this until you're a higher level. Ark Salvage is most easily obtained by salvaging equipment which is also done in the matrix station (break down to resources). More is explained in the video i just wanted to try and give you a quick text option to read in case you didn't wanna watch it.

Most vendors sell a few attachments however there are some that specialize only in mods which will have more option. You can remove all the mods from a weapon and keep those mods but this will destroy the weapon. You can also replace the attachments individually which will destroy the previously attached mod.
