That was fun ....... Made lots of little adventures for myself on my Amstrad. The C64 version was way better though.
oh man, I havn't thought about 8 bit gaming in a long long time. My first system was a Ti99/4a with a handful of cartridges like Parsec, munchman, tanks(or tanx? it's been a long time), and q-bert. then Zork on floppy with separate drive that plugged into the back of the unit. Loved the old analog 2 pronged television connector to turn the tv into a monitor. happy days.
a year later, my dad gives my brother an atari2600 and I didn't look back (Nintendo, sega, playstation, ect. ect.).... until 88' when I acquired my first brick laptop (was huge, and heavy, but built like a brick schtako house) and got back into early computer gaming. while my brother joins the Nintendo army, I'm playing early home PC versions of wing commander, MechWarrior, and a bunch of learning games.
ahhh, life was an adventure back then....
