Definitely no naming or shaming or griefing new players, we politely tell them the reasons why we want them to stop. While we continue to pressure Trion into having some sort of mechanic to prevent the issue from within the game.

I, my self have been in nine majors and only three of those were successful, as there was one or two players that broke the lock. However, I noticed they were new. I don't really think it's about naming and shaming. Nevertheless, perhaps a safety net needs to be put in safety net, so people don't get their game spoilt.

Naming and shaming isn't the answer. Trion fixing the instance so it's harder to grief or for noobs to mess up is the answer.
I left two WM fights last night before the locks were broken. In one they were breaking the locks with only 5 or 6 people in the room and the next one was filled with people firing volge weapons and healing each other while another idiot was breaking the locks with a rocket launcher. It was like a Mexican wedding with space guns. Both were doomed to failure before they even started.
I think all my future attempts to get arkbreaker weapons will be at minor arkbreaks I do with one or two friends and I'll just level them up with arkforge.
Last night I told the guys who were shooting at the locks to stop then gave them War Master 101 explaining why the locks shouldn't be broken, suggested weapons to use and not to use, aim for the right arm unless its agreed for the back, etc. If it wasn't for it being late at night we might've been able to get more than 17 people and could have won.
When its dealing with higher EGO players its likely:
A. There are the minimum number of players and the guys just want to fight.
B. They see a bunch of people with BMGs and all the other useless guns and figure the fight will be lost anyways.
C. The unlikely event they just came back into the game and don't know what's going on.
D. They're bored and just want to get it over with.
E. They only want to level up their weapons.
I really don't like the idea of just naming and shaming. Its technically working as intended by the developers so there really isn't anything that can be done anyways.

Exactly. Regardless of the player's mindset (doesn't know/doesnt care), it's a failure on Trion's part to acknowledge this is a HUGE issue and only causes friction and a poor experience for all involved. Labeling someone for something based on one event can cause a lot of problems, especially if it's done by someone who is 'out to get' whomever pisses them off.
If I see a lot of lower EGO players or ill-equipped loadouts I'll leave the instance. Keys and Arkforge are nice, but I'd rather run about focusing on something I can get a chance at succeeding on.

Anybody breaking the locks before full capacity should have "friendly Fire" turned to on. At least I could could give them lead poisoning and feel good about it.![]()
10x armor plates on the WM locks.
As it is now 1 or 2 low level noobs take a good while before breaking the locks by themselves as they are. 10x armor plates on the locks will really slow them down.
10x armor plate locks for a ready group of 24+ though wont make a difference when everyone decides to break them.
They're not breaking any rules? Really?
Trion's Terms of Use (Defiance), Section 11, Sub-section C:
The "spirit" of the game includes maximum participation for the WarMaster arenas- that event was designed in such a way that the more players present, the better your chances of defeating the WarMaster. If some jack-hole(s) decide that they want to pop the locks with only 8 people in the room and they've been around long enough to know better, I'd say it's pretty clear that they're being inconsistent with the spirit of the game.C. Rules Related to Game Play
While a Game may permit various styles of game play (including, for example, “player versus player” type combat), certain acts cannot be construed as “fair” and are considered serious violations of these Terms of Use. Those acts include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
I. Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or “program bugs” to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players;
II. Participate in any action that, in the sole and absolute opinion of Trion, results or may result in an authorized user of the Game being “scammed” or defrauded out of gold, weapons, armor or any other items that the user has earned or purchased through authorized game play in the Game (including but not limited to participation in player-run casinos, including those that utilize the roll mechanic);
III. Conduct prohibited by the EULA or elsewhere in these Terms of Use; and
IV. Anything that Trion considers contrary to or inconsistent with the “spirit” of the Game.
So, yeah, griefers and people who break the locks early ARE breaking the rules.
I've suggested in the Question thread, they change it so instead of shooting locks, you have to spend an arkbreak battery. So it would cost 4 to summon the Warmaster, then one for each lock. That would make it harder for one person to grief, and make it so NO non-dlcers will be able to grief. Atleast we would then only see Dcl owners griefing.
