    I can understand the decision to remove loot boosts. They never functioned as described in the bit store and increasing the amount of trash loot noticeably increased server load on loot boost weekends. While I don't think we'll be getting much of an influx of new players on the PC servers because we have had the limited free trial for the game many months now, can you imagine what the server load would be like for the console servers if they kept loot boosts, applied the global increase to them as well and included them in the Patron Passes?

    Scrip is going to have limited value in the game going forward and less as they release more features because the market for gear is going to drop. We can use arkforge to upgrade rarity now and reroll mastery bonuses. We will be able to use it to reroll individual rarity rolls and synergies some time in the future. There won't be much of a point for players to pay lots of scrip for gear from other players.

    This is not as big a deal as you make it out to be and in the long run it's good for the stability of the servers.

    Drama, I understand you're frustration. I wish they would have said something a little more clearly... Legit question I have though (since I rarely used Loot Boost), 1) Loot Boost never increased the rarity of drops, correct? 2) If the answer to #1 is true, doesn't the salvage boost make up for it?

    I'm just thinking through how removing the loot boost (in practice) actually effects the players base and if the patron pass and/or salvage boost will make up for it.

    If you read Scrapes response in the stickied thread, that's exactly the problem. The boost IS supposed to increase the RARITY of the dropped items, and it's not. Instead it's just giving you more loot drops of crap to sell instead of functioning as it's supposed to.

    I don't know about ya'll.. but I think someone needs to tweak the RNG and Loot Tables around here so that EVERYTHING isn't damn white or green all the time

    Well, that I agree with.
    As for the rest, we'll see.

    See, for me, Loot = Scrip/Salvage = Keycodes = T2 boxes for Arkforge.
    I'll just have to find me a new farm.

    And Scapes clarified that boosts in effect right now will run out their full value, not just vanish. So I'm back to my mirthful self again.

    Not for some players. Many if not most players sold their trash loot to vendors so loot=scrip for them.

    Like all other games that go F2P, now we can add defiance to the list off money grabbers (grenade,stim,spike charges) and pay to win (rarity upgrades and score boost).

    Not once have I gotten anything worth while from events such as ark falls, incursions etc. All the useful blues/purples ive gotten have been off loot boost farming and T4 lock box's.

    Imstead off removing things that clam to be not working as intended, they've had since launch to look at the loot boost.

    not like getting rank 1 is hard all you need is to spam either an incinerator, bonfire or sludge rl and apply nano effects constantly ans your almost guaranteed top 10 depending at what point you start in on the event.

    This has already sort of been done with Arktech Revolution. The higher tier mobs have a chance to drop blues and purples.
