Would you start all over again, if a patch deleted your character?

Been reading some chats in-game about how people get nervous whenever there is a new patch.

I highly doubt it, but if a patch deleted your character, with 0% chance of recovery, would you start all over again?

I have found Trion to be very good in that regard when it comes to recovering things that are lost. If this ever happens, they will sort it out for you.
