in fact if they did different currencies for different tiers of rewards then less than 5000 ego players could be locked out the expert coops completely, no back door in and they likely wouldn't complain because they'll have gotten something for their money

but you all still missing the point, no mention of gates on the expert coops was mentioned until AFTER low level players bought the dlc, conning low ego players into buying it then locking them out

They added a weapon kit lockbox and a full synergy mod cache to the paradise vendor for lower ego players ..

I think we should put a further requirement on co-ops that you have to have an existing 4 person team to even queue up. Make the daily Paradise an expert as well. I'm only EGO 2800ish, so don't accuse me of being a 5k Elitist.

well actually they got added after high ego players were complaining they were maxing out their paradise rep with nothing to spend it on so i guess we'll never know who's benefit that was added for, but seriously though i'm done now, i just can't believe that so many people would defend a company over conning part of it's playerbase by not disclosing full details until about a week after release, and that people in general are so unsympathetic towards others, especially when they think they're better than them, or is that the problem, you think you're better than those who don't have the time to play video games 10 hours a day due to real life commitments, i don't know but i'm pretty disguisted by this whole attitude, it stinks

    have a good day

I wasn't saying YOU as in you... I was saying YOU to refer to the "some people" in the previous sentence. Learn reading comprehension. I also didn't quote you, so how can you infer my statement was directed at you specifically?

Those mod kits are garbage and any informed player knows that. They should replace both of them with the Epic Mod Hoard lock box since their explanation for not doing so is completely irreconcilable with the placement of the two lock boxes that are in there now (they claimed having an epic item in an all legendary vendor looked out of place and that the vendor was already crowded).

Expert Co-Op Maps were always meant to be end game content for EGO 5000+ players. It was presented that way in all the articles on the Arktech Revolution content. One of the reasons why they locked out lower EGO players from the queue was because some low EGO players were deliberately jamming up the queue by refusing to leave maps when they had been abandoned by players that didn't want to group with them. Apparently the company agrees that lower EGO players shouldn't be able to hold the queue hostage to force players to group with them for endgame content.

At this point though they have nerfed everything so much, including the Expert Co-Op Maps that they should probably lower the cap on queuing to 3000 or 4000. You can definitely get to 3000 very fast now because getting all your EGO perks alone is 3050 EGO points and EGO xp gains are rapid because of dynamic scaling of content.

The cap to do Expert maps should at least been 4000.

Complain all you want, but the different difficulties SHOULD have ego requirements. In case you never bothered to look, there have always been ego requierements to unlock each co-op. So it makes sense to add an ego requirement to unlock each difficulty as well.

The problem wasn't just low EGO characters. The problem was the overall performance of the players present, period. There's a thread about 5k+ rating players that can't carry their own weight, there are a lot of them. I did today's Expert Co-op (Island of Lost Soldiers) on my 917 rating alt with just a purple SMG and came in 2nd place with 68k points. I died 2 times the whole run. Had I scored 10k more points, I would have scored double what the 2 5k+ rating players had combined.

Experts should be freely open to all EGO characters, not just the ones that have spent enough time leveling their characters.
