This has turned into a no win situation, fivers have pretty much turned into unwelcome guests no one wants around but are expected to give access to expert maps. If we're a nuisance to the point lower egos want us gone, will they remove themselves from the game once they've reached the same level ?
As for the supposed "griefing" stemming from bumped threat levels, that's a door that swings both ways. Quite often stuff I'm doing at TL 6-7 solo (game seems to consider that to be what I should be playing at) gets bumped up to TL 10 by a couple of lower EGOs jumping in, only to run away after a few downs, leaving you to fend off hostiles at TL 10 (which is manageable) facing amounts of enemies tailored for 3, 4 or more players (which gets pretty overwhelming).

I will do expert maps with you whenever you like, as long as they aren't speed runs. My EGO is 5802 and my name in game is DJACK.

If you will read my OP again you will see that I am trying to breathe some life into advanced.

    Edit: the D is silent
Gor! Yer ego is far beyond mine.

o.k., now I'm really confusled... Why would you want to do ADVANCED when you could do EXPERT? IMHO, they should just ditch the ADVANCED maps if there are never going to be contracts/specific rewards tied to them.

This would save a lot of annoyance for speed running tactics.

Actually, it can be kind of hard to get an expert game together since almost everyone wants to speedrun experts. I'm in the FREEMASONS, which is big as hell, and finding non-speedruns is difficult some times.
Why would I want to do advanced?...I don't know, just because. I'm not feeling an overpowering feeling to do it right this moment if thats what you are wondering.

With the recent changes, I'm a little worried that the EXPERT maps will become too much cake. It was nice to have to have a decent team on the ball to complete them (hoodini bugs nonwithstanding). I notice the double hulker spawns seem to be gone.

I can't believe I'm actually crying about this...

The two that were the dailies (Island and Soleptor) were total cake, they are easily soloable now.
I haven't tried any others, maybe someone else has, but i expect them to be the same.

Yeah it was easy before 2.0 but experts have been heavily nerfed yet again.

The double hulkers in 101, and soleptor were a challenge (and the hoodini rioters!)... for me anyway.

I can't believe you are either... but my view of the expert maps is that they're grindy. Not as bad as before, but the fact that it's the SAME map I've been playing since they first opened up means it's just for the Cores, not for the fun. I'd rather run around doing Incursions or Arkfalls (in between my Monkey Runs) than be stuck on a map with houdini enemies, annoying Boss battles and the same three statements being said by the different enemy types over and over and over.
