I would be ok with this.......the only reason I do the standard maps is to get the contracts completed.

The difficulty was fine, the mob count was a bit much on some. The Motherload map comes to mind as the least favorite. 99ers with quick regen shields and hard hitting weapons are a battle... but the amount of time spent just getting through one room sucked the fun out of it for me. The Smelters suck a tailpipe in my opinion. Annoying little *#$&*#&$s.

I'd rather run around doing Incursions or Arkfalls (in between my Monkey Runs) than be stuck on a map with houdini enemies, annoying Boss battles and the same three statements being said by the different enemy types over and over and over.
Houdini isn't a game design issue. It's a bug specific to your platform and nerfing the maps wasn't done because of that. The maps aren't grindy. You can pretty much run over everything on them now. The same can be said for the rest of the game content with the last round of nerfs. We're now stuck almost exactly where we were before except our inventory was devalued along the way because of gear scaling and we have to spend new currency to maintain gear progression.

Have you tried a Volge Siege since 2.0? They are fun again as far as I'm concerned!

    I love the new sieges.

Having enemies disappear in front of me TOTALLY plucked my OCD nerve.

I am happy to run all over the place in order to kill everything.

I agree that the latest nerf was a bit of a shock. Keep in mind that you and I have similar opinions on Expert maps and the difficulty levels. I concede that with a lower EGO it's a mess, but the tougher enemies were fun and a challenge. Grindy map to me simply because you have to go through the same thing over and over, without any changing up. enemy spawns, dialogue, etc... It's to the point where I lower the volume and simply look for the subtitle prompts when I'm picking up shinies. I didn't mind running through Scrapworks to level my weapons, but that was when I was at a lower EGO and the enemies seemed more balanced for that level. It took less than 20 minutes to do, which gave me time for other things. I think another reason for the less than thrilled opinion is that you really don't get the same chance at a weapon like you do at other events. Payout is not worth the time put in.

I played one this morning. Ran around like a Rambette, having a complete ball. Area Suppressor = Fun for All (except Volge).

Actually i always thought the Dark matter part of the Scrapwork salvage map were fun especially with the lot of snipers.
The Scrappers were just a slog though.

I only do standard co-ops with friends, or if randoms ask somebody to ready up. I usually make a point of saying I am over 5k so if they want I can:
    A: dropout once it starts
B: switch to my medic build and just keep them healed
C: obliterate anything that they want me to.

I prefer advanced for the fun of it, but nobody does them since there is no incentive. Some clanmates andf I readyed for one and after an hour we just got a random fourth and did an expert.

Que can be an Ahole but most people can. I am fine with being an Ahole most times, as long as my rage is well-placed.

Why would I want to do advanced?...I don't know, just because. I'm not feeling an overpowering feeling to do it right this moment if thats what you are wondering.

I love the experts, and I *hate* being pressured to speed run through them (I'm side-eyeing you a little bit on that, Q!). I have the most fun when we 'finish everything on our plate', as I often say, rather than just running past enemies and skipping optional encounters.

Note to everyone: Don't level crappy, inappropriate weapons in experts maps. Please.
