The point of starting classes?

Well as Vet I run with cloak, AR and Shotgun for CC. Works perfect with both weapons

check your goals, you need the majors to finish the "class" specifics

I chose egineer thinking, cool, I could probably build or supply ammo or something.

There doesn't seem to be any noticable advantage or skills to choosing a specific class to me.

All it is is a starting outfit and weapon

You can choose whatever starting power you want--regardless of class--and can change it at any time.

He's referring to synergies i believe and no nothing not even synergies are specific to any one origin. A veteran can benefit from an outlaw synergy, etc.

There are no classes. Your weapons and EGO makes your class and you can respec at anytime.

oh yeah completely right , BUT however a survivalist without stealth would just be stupid.. so theres def a right and wrong here, and a quick way to get gimped early on

No... because the fact that you're a survivalist is meaningless.

Just because you are a survivalist doesn't mean you have to use a sniper rifle. And overpower works really well with snipers against elite mobs, especially if you have the quicker fire rate, and reload perks. Decoy also works well as it will keep mobs off of you, and generally standing still while they attack it.

It all just comes down to how you want to play.
