Fort Defiance & purple item drops

When this game was first released a few of us accidently stumbled onto this place/area,

the part of the map in san fran that is white and seems to be part of the map, yet you cant get to it,

one of us died close to this place one day and when we was teleported to a safe spawn point, it put us at this place,

Fort Defiance..

there was even a splash screen that would pop up with some info about this place, yet nothing has ever came with fort defiance? it has not been added in game? I stoped playing right around 2nd dlc I think, just came back the other day and thought about this..

Maybe its still top secret, we was even worried about posting screen shots of this place back in the day, didn't know if we would get in trouble, banned or something,,

even though it was nothing we did, but seemed like it wasn't suppose to be talked about or found?

figured I would ask now, since its like a yr later..

Noticed ppl had been asking "do purple items drop" "can you still get them from drops, arkfalls, etc"

have gotten 3 in the last day or so, one droped during a volge siege that you get to through incursions (think I spelled it right), one droped earlier today when fighting the Hulker at kenn farms during another siege,

the hulker that takes forever to kill, forget its name, starts with an I maybe?

New ladmass is coming alongside season 2 so its possible this is it.

Tl10 enemies do have a chance of dropping purples.

OP isnt talking about the new landmass they are talking about that little section of north central san fran that isunused east of coit tower....I think.

This area is not the "new" landmass.....they said on a live stream that the land mass is roughly the size or Marin but not the same shape.

cords 4797, 5896 will place you almost right in the middle of it on the map, can see how its blocked off..
