    Multiple accounts from same IP address?

    There's 3 of us in my family that would like to play at the same time but the game only seems to allow for 2 people to connect to the game. Is there a rule that restricts this or is there a bug somewhere?

    As far as I could find out, there is no restriction:

    It is perfectly valid for a player to play on multiple accounts at the same time.

    While we do not condone or tolerate unattended gameplay or botting, if a player is actively in control of all of their characters, they are not in violation of our Code of Conduct.

    Can I ask how your family members and you try to play the game?

    btw: from the support site:
    Live Chat services are only available for customers who have purchased a Patron Pass or customers who have completed Blue loyalty tier. If you meet these requirements click the Log In button and live chat button will be available.

    I/we are all playing via the free-to-play option so live chat is not available. However, I will email them if I can't get a solution via the forums, I thought I would try here 1st before resorting to submitting a support ticket.

    I replied to this but it didn't register - so I'll try again.

    We all have pretty much the same PC setups all running Windows 7 x64 and all connected to the internet modem via a simple home network through a router. This is the 1st time we all want to play the same game (usually we're all playing something different).

    As far as I heard, that only applies to Rift but not to Defiance.

    I think the problem is with the launcher (it's in beta after all) - I messed around and even switched to the EU servers (that was a mistake - the option to choose servers vanished so i could not get back to NA server!!) After multiple tries with the different PCs suddenly the PLAY button worked for all 3 accounts. Only problem now seems to be the loss of server choice - some accounts have it and one does not. Need to fiddle a bit more. What a pain!

    No problems with the pre-Glyph launcher. I don't have the new Glyph launcher installed. I am able to open 3 clients without much issue to trade between accounts. I could probably open more clients if my system could handle it. SO in reference to the OP, I don't think there's a limitation of accounts via same IP address. As has been suggested, probably something in the new Glyph launcher.

    Please tell me your joking, what about the people who brought the game at full retail price
    (£43 in my case for the Game store vaguely slightly not really limited edition, it came with some bits and 2 guns)
    and then brought a season pass in preparation of the influx of amazing new content.... [looks around] looks like i misplaced my amazing new content somewhere but you get the idea

    You shouldn't be restricted, but if you're having trouble, we do have Live Chat available!
