Returning Player, Lagging out in Major Arkfalls/Incursions? (PC)

Everytime I do a Major Arkfall or Incursion my character lags out and I can't kill myself (on my screen) and on others screens I'm running around as a corpse and explosions are happening at my feet. Also I do no damage and sometimes my guns can't fire.

What causes this and is there anyway to avoid it?

You can try clearing your internet catche as well as a plethora of other such fixes. Unfortunately most of those are latency issues, they could be partially on your end, or on Trion's end, or they could be someplace in the middle with the different places the signal goes through. I am afraid we all see it regularly. It is a little better if I clear catche regularly and keep a couple gigs free on my Hdd, but it still can be bad. Most assume it is all Trion's fault, but I am of the opinion that it is partly their fault and the rest is the "middleman", as in the different relays the signal has to go through.

Let's not even go there have you look acrossed the board everything was fine till recently now every platform is having the same issue. Don't take a genius to figure out that going free to play has caused the servers to be overloaded they know it we experience it as if someone flipped a switch as soon as it went free to play it went free to lag. The game and server had no mass issue of user disconnects and timeouts before this. So don't fiddle with your computer they have to fix the issue not the user unless you have other games with the same issues.

My issue is that during Arkfalls and Incursions, my spikes often don't deploy. My toon goes through the motions of placing it and it is taken from my inventory, but nothing appears.

Freakin' annoying when you can't recharge your ammo in a hurry!

Submitted a bug report and got absolutely no response.

I have the same issue, anyway i do not expect the things go better till next patch.

Get used to it, that is the way the game has played since 2.0 dropped.
