After playing both beta and the real game I have to say that in my "opinion" I'd have to disagree. I had a blast during the beta and I'm having a blast now. You gotta remember that this is just a game. Just because it lacks in certain places doesn't mean the dev's won't add the features later.

Half of the time I was playing I just fooled around, crashing into stuff, using boost off of mountain tops, trying to get high scores in the mini games I randomly found. But most importantly I took my time and just enjoyed what was offered. Compared to other MMO's this one was fun and refreshing, plus it has most of what I've always wanted in a game.

LARGE COMMUNITY (at least from the looks of it)
    POST APOCALYPTIC SETTING
    CARS
    GUNS
STORY (no matter how dull the main story may be, Its nice to have one to drive the context along. Plus I like making up my own story for my characters in MMO's usually)
    TIGHT CONTROLS

In fact if people leave this game thats fine, theres already too many people running around. It diminishes the immersion.

that's funny, i didn't know a picture of you consisted of hiding your face and "showing" off your muscles, that's why people claim it's **** erotic. if you didn't want it to be a distraction and you wanted to have a picture of you than take a picture of your face. Your being a attention *****, the attention your getting for it is negative. learn to deal with it.
You have to admit not much is going on. It's boring driving from one place to another occasionally jumping off to help so and so.
Sorry for not moving the phone over a little bit I guess? I don't think it really matters much especially since it IS just a picture. If it bothers you so much, don't look at it, or just don't come to my threads. lol

All I have to say is that the interaction between the TV show and the game is THE major selling point of Defiance. If you're not interested in the show then you're not going to get nearly as much out of the game as is intended to the point where you'd probably be better of in a game like Firefall. It is a shame that the show's airing date forced Trion to release Defiance earlier than they wanted to but I have confidence that they'll fix everything soon.

Well you know how to make the game fun lol. I guess I should get out of my typical MMO mindset and get out there and do more than just quest quest hey I'm bored let's pvp quest, repeat. I never ever said I disliked the game, I enjoy it very much so. I shouldn't be looking at it so critically and I apologize if I have offended anyone.

I agree with some that has been said. The implementation of the cars leaves something to be desired (GTA III had better car physics). However, the ATVs are ****ing awesome.

I am very impressed with this game. I mean I have seen tons of people in one place and it is 60 FPS, steady. Nice shooting physics, decent animations using a non-realistic style (maybe Borderlands-ish), and, most importantly, fairly fun and challenging. I wish chat stayed open and had some options (I blame the consoles (play PC)) to make it more social, but that will come.

I feel, the launch has gone very well so far no matter how badly a few individuals are suffering. No major lag, que times less than a minute, and most everyone I see is pretty unique looking.

I played alot of ME3 multiplayer and bought Borderlands 2 hoping for more multiplayer like that, but it isn't/wasn't; so I am enjoying Defiance just for the company while I blast things. Global Agenda too, I really enjoyed the 4 player co-op missions, so I like the instances in Defiance as well.

Defiance seems like a nice blend of Borderlands, Fallout, Fallen Earth, and Global Agenda so far. Ah to be able to dodge like an Asari, now THAT is something I miss.....

No. There is alot going on, that is the point. You're stating there is to much going on thus becoming repetitive and dull to you.

That to me is no problem since that's ALL GAMES. Do you play cod and say there is to much shooting? or need for speed and say they focus to much on driving? If no than why are you stating there are to many arkfalls/missions to do in a story driven TPSMMO? You don't even understand what you're trying to defend...

Also to your comment on your picture, i could care less what you have as your picture, your the one crying over the negative comments it's receiving from the community, i explained to you why it is becoming a distraction. Your choosing not to fix it so i'm telling you to get over it. Also bull **** your sorry for not moving the camera over, you looked at it went "that's showing a sufficient amount of muscles, now lets troll the forums and call everyone with an opposing opinion a fanboy" or else if it was such a concern to be a picture of yourself you'd have stopped and went "o a picture of myself, it appears i missed my face completely. I'll take another pic that includes my face" since you didn't even bother to do that i just assume it is a sad attempt at getting peoples attention and you enjoy seeing these people make comments towards it.

I agree with that being a major selling point because I'm looking forward to watching the TV show even though I don't really watch tv too much. But I think the game was meant to come up before the tv show because in the game in the beginning cut scene it shows how the two main characters got to defiance in the first place. When the show starts I think they will show what they end up doing while they are there since you already witnessed them landing.

I like the fact that different makes / models handle differently, even within the roller/runner categories. Vehicles almost always handle strangely in MMOs and RPGs. It could be a LOT worse ...(Looking at you Mass Effect 1).
