A long time ago there was a purple roll that said “+15% Grenade Refresh on Kill” – it was one of my personal favorite rolls. I collected “double-Grenadier” weapons that allowed me to throw grenades every few seconds (with a refresh of +30% Grenade refresh on kill). It was glorious and I rained fraggin’ death on my enemies…
Then grenades were “changed” (let’s not get into that particular topic any more) and it became “+15% Grenade Damage after kill (expires in 10 Seconds)” or, in other words, it became the NEW “+15% Self-Revive on Revive other player” roll – a useless, garbage roll avoided by most players.
This is seriously a massive oversight.
I am not proposing undoing the grenade “system” – I am tired of yelling at that wall.
I am proposing you make the “+15% Grenade Damage…” roll into an actual USEFUL roll.
Here’s how:
- Make it applicable to all weapons that fire grenade or grenade-like projectiles. Such as:o Clustershot ShotgunSince “grenade-style” weapons share the characteristics of a slow, arcing, explosive projectile – these weapons would certainly benefit from this roll and – since they are frequently subject to completely 100% useless synergies – they should have a roll that really works for that class of weapons the best.
o Courier
o Northstar Flare
o All of those underpowered Lobbers
o VBI Grenade Launcher
o I’m not sure I’d advocate it being applied to the Boomers – but meh – why not.
o Etc., etc., etc.
SMALL ASIDE: It would be even nicer to see the roll changed to “+15% Projectile Damage After Kill (Expires in 10 Seconds)" and have it apply to an even broader spectrum of weapons – Rocket Launchers, Volge Weapons, anything with a “projectile” – but, small bites, small bites…
