OK, that was a snotty answer, but just hit a vendor for a couple of blues to make due and you'll be amazed at how much better those Oranges taste now.

Wow not what i was sayint AT ALL. NO mmo makes wholesale changes like defiance that essentially make gear obsolete. Im not sayinb that they should b top of the line but a orange is an orange and they should fall in line w new releases not become damn near worthless when they were top of the line 6 mos ago

It's been too long milwrob. You’ve gotta (mostly) start fresh - a lot of your old Pre-Patch ARs with 5 rolls are still potent if you upgrade them to your EGO - but you'll find replacements way quicker now that you can make Oranges for yourself.

Find a really nice purple and make it orange and you'll be set. I think my user weapon pool is maybe 10 weapons and since I am EGO locked at 5526 I horde my Arkforge for rarity upgrades and mastery roll resets. (You may need to worry about Upgrading the Rating on your weapons first so it may take a bit to get to the Arkforge hording phase.)

All of the new mechanics will allow you to make a perfect weapon of your choice in short order.

Also, since we make Perfect oranges now you can buy Post Patch anything for scrip – I personally have over 150 Post-Patch oranges that I will sell for scrip, ARs included – a dropped Orange is 99% of the time inferior to a “made” Orange so an Orange drop these days is little more than inventory clutter, potential scrip/salvage.

I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. Many MMO's in the course of their life will do something that devalues existing equipment and weapons. Sometimes it's big and all at once, sometimes it's slow and more subtle. Sometimes they offer compensation and other times you're just SOL. Defiance is no different in that regard. I'm playing Firefall right now and they're about to do something similar. Yea, it's still beta, but it's been beta for 3 years.

Ill let u know when i get home and check on what i have... might play around w the new upgrade n leveling systems b4 i go out and totally revamp my inventory... gotta play around w some of the new shields n stuff to see what works... ill hit u up sometime tho. I think i still have u on my FL. Probably gonna have to maie some scrip first, i think im sitting on like 50k only... i knew i shouldbhave just sold all my ish when i stopped playing.. at least then id have like 1mil scrip and no weaps

The vender at IDR is getting over filled with OJs. I sold at least 70 since last week.

Yeah, as I said, it was a snotty reply. You didn't deserve it. But rest assured, you will like a lot of the new weapon score and quality mechanics. The scaling... Probably not as much, but the new item boosting is pretty awesome.

The lag is not so awesome.
