I visit the Bungie forums but I just don't like the format so do any of you know if you're encouraged to explore in the game so you can find hidden gear etc.

Oh, for sure. Bungie just loves to hide things in the world. Can't wait to get home from work today and add more Grimoire cards and dead ghosts to my collection... as well as new gear for my exo warlock!Originally Posted by Bentu
People miss the point of beta...we're helping the development team work out the bugs and issues. Some seem to think it should be "bigger" or whatever. It's limited on purpose. Hence the term "test".

I'm happier being able to play the game leveling up 1-8 compared to 3-8. Then there's the exploring. And the dancing. And the speeder bikes. And the drooling. Etc, etc.

I played today at level 2. Was having fun then died 3 times against a major enemy. First one not sure what he was called. I'll go back again tomorrow but honestly I'm still having fun with Defiance. Unfortunately even if I decide I don't like it I can't cancel my preorder. PSN download is final I guess. I think I like it though.

I love this game, it has more RPG elements then Defiance.
I've decided I really like first person shooters more.
the sounds and atmosphere is genuinely intense.
It isn't entirely fair to compare the two since they are completely different styles.
I prefer Destiny and i'm sure others will prefer defiance (Cyborg Superman seems to love all things Trion).
The encounters feel more like a puzzle. You have to figure out
how to approach each enemy using a specific weapon. Determine when to evade or attack.
You can't just rush in and shoot everything.
The weapons really matter, shotguns can't be sniper rifles.
Best of all playing different classes changes the game play.
I tried playing Defiance after several hours of Destiny. I had to quit.
Doing a expert coop where you just stand there and pump 3 clips into a 1 mutant to kill it just wasn't any fun.
As much as I love the show I'm pretty sure I'm done with defiance in September. I've completed all the pursuits except PVP ones which I don't care about so unless the new map zone is unbelievably awesome I think its curtains for Trion.
I believe they're going to release Destiny for pc in may of next year.
Yeh I saw some in the second vid I watched, I assume there is but can anyone confirm a southpaw setting for controllers.
For the game release I may be able to afford a next gen console, so which would be best to get and why?
