I doubt that they would ever make a lock box drop for 500 Arkforge. If you think about it the reason why is obvious. 70 Arkforge is simply two boxes aggregating count because one was opened before the other stopped flashing rewards on the screen.

Except that is the only shield in game that you can NOT upgrade rarity on. You also can't upgrade rarity on the 2 starter guns. Believe me I have checked on several different characters.Originally Posted by Xaat Xuun

I still uprate my VBI Defense Shield, it's just an average in everything, will be glad to change rarity, when they make that happen
depending on the perks you use, half the time I have 4 armor plates, 3 of which never needs repairs.
even though it reads 0 Armor plates, I still have one, and it'll need repairs.
just saying you can't get any cheaper then going this way, for rating up

I've managed to upgrade Ares FMR-3000 starter weapon on my low toon which was created little more than a week ago (on 27. June '14). But the shield can't be upgraded.

the pop-up for 70 looks like the image, but in chat it'll read +20 and +50
I have also been getting 90 AF, just not that past day n half, no internet available during that time
I'm sure I read they are working to fix it were the rarity can be upgraded on that, just not a high priority.
I already knew the rarity did not work for it before I created the character that the one in the image belongs to.
You can farm the Shtako out of arkfalls, also if you go to the main page before clicking on forums enter the word forge in the code submit and you get 100 AF
