Customizing weapons

I know live stream has talking about rerolling various things on weapons (etc) but instead of being able to take a weapon and, for example, reroll it's blue roll, I think it would be fun (and would keep the chase!) to have it be more like weapon fusion instead (if anyone has played Warrior Orochi, sort of like that.)

For example, say have a FRC Saw and I wish it had a blue and green recoil roll.
I need to find another Saw with a blue / green / both recoil roll and fuse it with my FRC Saw. When fusing, I select to let the 2nd Saw's recoil rolls replace the 1st Saw's original blue and green rolls. The 2nd Saw is destroyed in the process.

I just worry that if we can reroll all sorts of things with Arkforge, then the hunt for weapons dies completely. Once you get one, you just reroll it forever. Needing to have a weapon of the same kind to fuse together to get the new rolls (any color) would make you want to keep hunting and sorting through the new weapons you find to get the rolls you want to fuse.

Same goes for Synergy. Instead of a random reroll, get the Synergy from weapon fusion. Even fusing the Nano onto another gun.

I know it probably 100% too late to implement it like this, but I see my fun popping out of the game if I can just manually reroll every gun with RNG into my unicorn. If I had to hunt and build my unicorn from other weapons, then my chase is still on.

Darksiders 2 has something like this and I made quite a few beastly weapons for myself as well as to give to friends. It definitely made carrying around the weapons worth it if you knew the roll you wanted was on it.

I love this idea. The only modification I would suggest is only one roll per destroyed weapon, and to get a specific color's roll you have to use a weapon with said roll on it (i.e. if you got your triple crit 'Hound, and want the DMG orange, you have to use an Org Pistol with the DMG roll).

I love this idea, I would be all for it. I'd be able to clear out a good chunk of inventory that way.

I even think it would be fair to say that you need specifically another Wolfhound with an OJ roll to fuse!
