Some matrix stuff could use salvage in addition to AF, so long as it doesn't scale with EGO.

Speaking of scaling, IIRC the price of sold weapons increases with their EGO right? Does the high EGO guys get profitable T2 runs when reselling? I'm not top EGO so I can't check myself.

You can make a profit if you get at least two blues, but only if you buy T2 lockboxes with keycodes you get as rewards. Using salvage to buy them makes you lose money. I'm EGO 5786 and blues sell for 515 scrip each. I basically make a 30 scrip profit if I sell both. However, I only sell greens and blues if I don't think they are worth a chance at upgrading. I've made quite a few good weapons from greens/blues.

For example:

EGO level = 5786
Nano Effect = Radiation
Synergy = Cannoneer
EXP Roll = +15% crit from the hip
x0.95 Reload
x1.15 Crit Mult
x1.25 Crit Mult
10% EGO power recharge on full reload
x1.10 DMG

And this came from a green.

At this point I personally could care less about scrip. As long as I have enough to get by with I'm fine. I usually don't buy stuff from other players anymore. Maybe the occasional mod, but that's about it. Plus there's no need to buy weapons from other players when I can basically make my own.

To me, the greens/blues I get from T2 lockboxes suit me just fine.

Edit: I do wish they would add more uses for ark salvage. Buying keys is cool, but I would like to see other uses. Opening up mod slots is no longer an issue, so I only have one thing to spend it on.

If you have 3 chars all over 5K Ego, Why the heck are you posting your salvage "problem" out here? I think you need another game to play if you have time to get 3 chars to 5K+ maybe another job or a charity or something would be a good idea....

I have been playing since day one and I have 4 mil salvage and 2.8 mil scrip.

OK here is how it works:
1. Buy keys with salvage
2. Buy T2s for the higher Arkforge output than the corresponding T4
3. SELL the crap you get from the T2s except of course the Oranges
3.5 Profit?
4. {specific to you although everyone should follow this instruction} Don't be an A-hole to people that are being nice and TRYING TO HELP YOU!

PS - I can't believe that you are from the UK because you sound like you are part of the American plague of spoiled brats that have unfortunately inundated my country.

This is a good plan.

In addition, you can help new players by adding mod slots for them, and sell your services for scrip. Then you might have enough to assist you in buying all those T2's.

OP, I KNOW you just want us to agree that Trion needs to come up with a better use for salvage. Agree with that too. Meantime, try the above. Might get some worthy gun to upgrade the rarity on, you never know.

Yes. I'M the rude one. Fair enough. Still, I am proud of the players who tried to defend people who were only trying to be helpful. That's community. I'm new here on the forums so it's good to see. Nothing in this thread strikes me as anything but constructive, even when it goes off-topic. That's just forums for you. Starting a thread doesn't mean you own it.
