I was advised by my Internet provider to use the Century Link servers for a speed test as they are dedicated for that purpose only as opposed to the "speedtest.net" as those server are also used for other broad band traffic.

So after Trion updated the launcher on Steam yesterday, to one that doesn't abandon its efforts at the slightest sign of bother, I managed to get this downloaded and working. The new launcher seems to be a little more verbose as well, but it still has errors with speed reporting being out by a factor of ten and the estimated time seemed a little more borked even. At least it ****ing works now! Sweet. Cheers.

I restarted for the third time this morning at 6:00 EST. At 2:50pm EST, it crashed AGAIN, with 12.4 hours remaining on the download.
It is restarting at 1 day, 4 hours remaining on the download.

I want my refund. NOW.

Rescinded! After a fifth restart yesterday, the patcher restarted with 10 hours to go at 0.16MB/sec and managed to stay steady until it completed patching about 5:00 EST this morning. Of course, after missing so many days of playtime, all my first choice character names are taken, but at least now I'll be able to find the people that took those names in-game and grief them for it.

On my xbox, it does the download fine. Only its when I go to patch the download that it gets to around the halfway mark then it says 'Resuming previous patch' and loops back to the previous download that Ive just completed. Therefore, I cant get on the game! This is madness!

Curous, the patcher seems to show speeds at MB as in Megabytes per sec so if you are running at say .2x on patcher that would relect a 2 megabit connection correct?
