Tier 2 lockbox can drop orange weapons

So I don't think it was ever stated the better tier the better loot it just gives you more chances.

most games with colored weapon drops have legendary orange colors. and Borderlands is far from the first game to do this.

The only confirmation I can find is on the Alpha forums. I'm trying to get someone's attention now to see if I can repeat that or not without getting my arse handed to me for an NDA violation.

I have unlocked maybe 20 + lock boxes and it seems to me that your just as likely to get purple or higher weapons in the tier 2 lock box as the 4 lock box. I just unlocked my first orange item.... a shield! Now out of tier 2 lock boxes I have unlocked a purple and an orange shield! (and maybe two other purple items - most are just green and some blue).
