While I usually disagree with quite some of the whining going on, I have to concur here. The WM is the only ingame event requiring organization and grouping, yet has no tools to achieve this. To have even a slight chance of success, the "lock keepers" improvised a solution which, according to your saying goes against" the spirit of the game". This only means one thing for me ... you introduced an event that "doesn't fit the spirit of the game", don't blame us for striving for success. I may not be the most competitive guy ever, but I will never engage in something knowing I can't succeed.
This means the sole event that comes close to being a raid/endgame content is supposed to be a quick endeavor you participate in knowing you have no chance of success because "that's the spirit of the game", basically making failure more attractive than success ?
The only thing you're going to achieve is driving away "lock keepers" from WM fights, leaving only "lockbreakers" to go there and ultimately start flooding the forums with complaints because the event is impossible to complete successfully.
Give us proper grouping tools, and lock keeping will be unnecessary. All the preparation in the world is useless when players get scattered across several instances, sometimes ending up in one with only 2 minutes left to down the WM after clearing the outside enemies. This needs to be addressed, not dumbing down the event and tailor it for the unknowing/unwilling to wait.
According to the logic used here, timers on major arkfalls and incursions should be shortened too because "a majority of players hasn't enough time to devote to them" and encourage a culture of intentional failure to shorten events in order to take part in more of them, even if it means collecting lesser rewards.
Do you even have the faintest idea what makes gamers tick ? We don't want instant gratification with no effort involved. We are, in our own way, P2W .... play 2 win. We don't want chocolate medals so everyone can be a "winner" and no feelings get hurt. That may work in kindergarten, but we're all way past 6 year old.
The WM used to be the only real challenge in the game, this change will turn it into an anecdote.

My 0.0 Zagger doesn't reload fast enough, can you change that as well Trick?
Lock keepers seek to prolong the lock-breaking step until the number of players inside the Warmaster event meets or exceeds 24 players, often using chat and weapon intimidation to dissuade others in the instance. These players value resources over time and aim to earn the legendary weapon drops from the Warmaster at all costs. Additionally, these players tend to have an extremely limited scope for value on items; anything that is not part of a predetermined list is deemed entirely worthless. These players are extremely active on the forums and in-game, but still constitute a small minority of players.
Did he just say the active people on the forums are essentially worthless and don't know what the community wants?
Also, I'm getting tired of aiming, can we get tab targeting with auto-fire?
Auto-run would be nice too...
I wouldn't have much of a problem with it but...
1. People seldom organize
-At least on Xbox NA, I hardly EVER see anyone announce a Warmaster and when they have it boils down to a whole lot of luck getting a good group there. (Even more luck is needed to keep them together)
2. Groups getting split up.
-With multiple instances groups probably won't stay together.
--Every group is only 4 people which DEFINITELY isn't enough so if only 1 or 2 groups make it to the same one it won't matter.
---With only a few people in the room it'll jack up the Threat Level to obscene amounts of health for only a small number of people. So unless you run as a whole heavy hitter group you won't have a snowball's chance in a volcano to win (even then....).
-Frankly I don't see that many people interested in War Masters as it is to make a serious group/raid party.
-Criticals, criticals, criticals. Did I mention criticals?
3. There really isn't an incentive to go.
-The reward is decent but NOT for the time/work thrown in, its essentially just a training room. You tend to get better rewards at other Arkfalls for even less of the time.
4. The set up isn't about winning. Its "battle him and move on".
-Once again the way its set up seems to suggest rushing rather than winning.
--If people did get serious about wanting to fight the War Master then it'll essentially turn into lock keeping outside of the arkfall or impact window. People will either not go or will wait for a long time to gather enough people and simply HOPE they all get into the same instance. That isn't a "timely manner". If they don't organize then they lose but if they do organize then its lock keeping from the outside.

Yet another part of the game I payed to play ****ed up by trick. At this point its plain to see he must be getting payed to kill the game by someome. Trion you might want to start looking in to that! It might not do much but maby its time to hit the sifi forum and voice our displeasure. its got to have a better chance then here.
People are mostly stupid and hateful and cruel to one another but - hell; lets save the world's *** anyway, its better than being board.
