There is no such thing as the Illuminati.
Okay I could get flamed for this but here goes. These are just my opinions so give them the weight they are due. I think Trick is working really hard on this game. He does his best day in and day out. He loses sleep and worries and sweats the details and all of that stuff.I think Trick is a good guy and I really believe he loves this game as well, he just is who he is and has a communication style that is somewhat unique.
Quick break to reiterate that these are just my opinions and that I mean no disrespect...
In my history with this game this communication style has been most obvious in the 7th legion back story, the explanation for the grenade change, and in the now infamous "lockbreaker manifesto". I honestly don't think there was any intent to come off as anything other than informative and helpful. It's just that, for me, there ends up being too many words about too much stuff not related directly to the thing at hand. Like I said before If the blurb just said "hey we're going to speed up the game, timers" That would have worked with a lot less confusion, hurt feelings, and misunderstanding but that would be asking Trick to be someone else.
I still love the game and play every day.
I have great respect for the work Trick and all the devs do.
The same goes for the community and forum staff.
Maybe have someone from the real world have a look at releases before they go out to the public?
Special thanks to Scapes, Kiwi, and PT.
Rock on guys.

I certainly won't flame you Bonehead, but you know as well as I do, that if what you say is true.... Crasher would still be here.
Trick does what he is told to do. I do not place the blame solely on him. Especially when we know that post of his was given the green light by both Scapes and Phantasie.
I've said it before and I will say it again... The current status of this game can only be a major failure of upper management.

So the end result is they have created "gate keepers" Now we all stand in some field waiting to throw the last spike down. Only now instead of having time to send invites from inside to people who we know are capable fighters in the warmaster we have try and guard the spike points while doing the same thing, till enough people are there. And now lots of people who show up will be randomly left out in the cold when the match fills up.
Either way it's a fail because all Trick did was move the standing around to the outside wold and instead of lock-breakers we now have per-mature spikulators. We all parked our cars over the last spike the other day to try and stop one from ruining the warmaster. We failed. He found the point dropped the spike with about 12 of us standing there honking, and waving, and shooting at him, and we proceeded to not even get through his back armor.
You know "guarding" an entrance does nothing, right? Interior Arkbreaks are a separate part of matchmaking. You can have 50 people clearing the outside, but as soon as you enter the door, be put into an existing instance with the Warmaster already out of his cage.
If you want to overfill a room, add people to your friends list / clan before trying to do a warmaster, and start sending group invites AFTER you get in.
What I find amusing is that you're blaming your fail on one guy. You claim there were twelve of you just standing around. What exactly were you doing besides making noise? I fail to see how this mysterious stranger blew through the outside Volge so fast, entered the wreckage, cleared the top room all by himself and then broke the locks before you had a chance to organize.
No, this badass arkhunter didn't fail. You did. If each of you had invited just one person, you would have had a full room.
BOW TO THE WARMASTERSWE JUST GOT TIRED OF DOIN' WHAT YA TOLD US TO DO
Well. Guarding it does something. Last night we ended up with 15 or so (around 12 at start) after a pre mature start. We were more successful and another where we gathered more before we spiked down the last one. Now that there's a timer the "lockbreakers" Don't even give it the 3 minutes it has. They just start shooting locks. So it is worse. And what the devs did improved nothing.
What they also didn't acknowledge is that we worked out a system. There weren't just lock breakers and keepers. We usually deferred to whoever spent their spikes for the game plan. What gives lock breakers who are in a hurry the right to use the spikes someone else spent ruining a warmaster? I wouldn't mind there being a vote to kick option only available to whoever spent the spikes. So whoever spiked it runs it. So from one to four people end up being the boss of that instance. THAT would inspire good behavior among the lock breakers. And if those lock breakers want to ruin warmasters they are free to buy and spike their own arkbreaks.
Laying down battery spikes doesn't give you proprietary rights in the internal instance. It's a public resource. All the spikes do is let you create door into the instance which is why two different groups can end up being split apart into two instances. That is why the company will never give any special rights as to what goes on inside the instance to players that dropped spikes.
