    Just happened on PC-NA

    went in to do a diablo vaccine incursion.

    when we hit stage 3 it started stuttering.

    after 3 mins, kicked out of the game.

    this is the middle of the day, not even during prime time. and we are lagging out of the game.

    This happens to me quite a bit on PS3 NA, I get booted with a 50/50 chance at Diablo no matter what time of day, but never in Kenn Farms. Probably a more common occurrence than reported.

    Are the other players and mobs at least moving today? They weren't yesterday.

    I got one at an Arkfall yesterday where all the players and bugs were flickering in and out like they were popping in and out of my instance. The servers have been in really rough shape since 2.0, I'm a little concerned.

    I was getting that same Peek-a-boo , Now you see me now you don't, last night , started about 2 hours before restart (PC-NA). There was some other whacky things happening before that too . . I was thinking .. 'They might have to do 3 restarts a day', I noticed that after restart it was no longer happening

    If I had the ability, I would create a gif of scapes saying "we are fixing that" from the last live stream.

    We have a restart coming up with the patch, but keep me posted on this please. I'm sorry you ran into that.

    As of today I've tried 3 Arkfall Majors( 2 Hellbug and 1 Dark Matter) and 2 Incursions both at Diablo and all Failed with Severe LAG and 2 time got booted from the servers. plus this lag is showing up in the Yuki Liro Arena of which 1 time I was seeing lag as well as Sutro Tower which was so bad I got ejected from the server as well. So far today all I've been able to complete is 2 Yuki Liro Arenas and the new Von Bach Quest Line. How are we supposed to play this game when you have to wait upto 5 minutes for a LAG Spike to Adjust and you get killed 3 times as the sever catches up???? plus you can't pick up any thing like Loot, Ammo , or even self - revive?

    it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who is having problems today. It won't let me log in, with the ever annoying "the defiance service is not available. please try again later." message. Did someone trip over a cord in the server room again?

    on another note. had the same issue as zhedda last night. combat toons spawning in place at emergencies. a gaggle of players floating in mid air like they were possessed. every toon running, jumping, fighting, shooting in their original starting positions but not going anywhere. the scripting worked fine...was getting gacked by invisible ghost enemies left and right, while the combat npc toons were on the other side of the area. so we know that the combat script is working as intended.

    my prognosis, thus far, is a bit of broken code between the animations and the script. either they are not talking to one another, or there is a missing pathway connecting the two codes. (animations vs. combatant scripting)

    as for the logouts and disconnects.

    I suggested months ago a possible solution to this problem. it involves putting all maps, assets, and skins, ect. ect. on the client side computer, thereby freeing up valuable processing power on the server side. Instead of having to render the entire shard on the clients computer THROUGH the server, the server side only has to worry about toon logistics and combat. If they are worried about hackers and script kiddies, build a master template, and have each client computer verify their copy against the master, each time they log in. If it doesn't match...patch. (the patch will correct those inconsistencies in code on the client side to bring it inline with the server master copy. any further attempts at treachery by unscrupulous clients while in game, could be flagged for review or disciplinarian action.)

    anyway....that's my observations and suggestions on the current phenomena I am experiencing in game. hope that helps whomever is listening over there.....though I doubt it.
