Tarr Traxx Boxes? Where do they come from?

I've been having the contracts pips pop up, but I'm not exactly sure where these are coming from. Others in Zone (PCNA) have stated that they've been getting them while standing still, so I think I'm not the only one confused by this.

Anyone know what's up with these and how we're going to be able to complete the contracts for them? I'm a bit lost on this one!

I just finished the daily and weekly contract for the Tarr family, and got an orange shield. Not sure if the shield was reward for doing the contracts, or just some random bug. :P

Either way, I am not complaining.

Which orange shield did you get, Magic? I just finished the weekly as well and received a Hurricane Brawler... ended up being merch food, but still! I'm interested to know if everyone is getting the same item for the contract.

I also just found out that one of the Tarr Traxx boxes is next to the statue at Coit Tower. Interacting with it will make it vanish, but it will reappear if you map travel away and come back. I haven't found a location for any more of them yet, nor have I seen anyone talking about it in chat so far.

But at least I now know where they're coming from!

There is another one that spawns across the way from Iron Demon ranch, near where the road-side emergencies spawn, tucked behind a rock.


Also, on the wall to the left, as you face the entrance to Iron Demon, I found the place to put my mark for one of the other factions, I forget. Defiant Few? meh LOL

There is one at the Fork (in the lower level of the house, on the right side) which keeps spawing after destroying it.

That's for PvP. Unfortunately it's not that useful now because vehicle scaling is broken for PvP so you don't really need the reduced damage modifier. If you use the Tachyon with the Execution perk it's not that bad for PvE but I would rather use my Chimera Claw or an Ironclad Regenerator.

OJ Rebel Regenerator IV EX (HP regen). Pretty nice!

Oh, and there seem to be Tarr Traxx crates at every settlement with vendors I've checked so far. Usually a bit out of the way...it's fun to look more closely at some of that stuff than I have in months.
