I don't use'em on that low of ego characters, unless I had started with perks that take advantage for slow charges

The Tarr Traxx boxes can appear nearly anywhere in the world. Any ark hunter within a certain range of a box being claimed will get credit for it (to prevent who-touched-it-first fights). If you're getting contract updates, you were probably within range of a box being claimed.
